  • superficial bs...

  • @alltime10s

What is the name of the music on the Viking video?

  • Mhmm.. Knew it all :D..

  • @TheVeritasWithLarp

Youre wrong saturday was called lorday or lördag on swedish i know this since im swedish myself.

  • Thursday was actually called Loradg, and it means bathing day. It was the one day a week were the vikings bathed.

  • i did actually know a lot of these things

  • and then skyrim stole it all..

  • Why would they bleach their hair??

  • @IveForgottenMyName2 Because being ginger is a grim fate. :p

  • Even in the viking times we were more civilizated than the muslims are today.

  • @xXnXnXnXx lol? are you fuckin stupid in europe only 50% of the population could read in the middle east almost evryone could read and the frekin vikings were barbarians well sorta the muslims were mutch advanced in tech and better education

  • @charmmuffin "in the middle east almost evryone could read"

How's that possible when ~50% of the population were women?

  • @TheKenth84 my bad of the learned men (no sexist) just stating facts) the middle easterns were actually more advanced and better learned than the europeans

  • @TheKenth84 just stating facts

  • pretty cool facts, idk how i ended up here

  • Knew everything... because I'm Norwegian. XD

  • 11. they didn't have horns in their helmets.

  • @BackInAGiffy Was about to post that when I saw yours :P

  • @RodmasterStudios we're smart :D

  • Vikings.......... When men were men and sheep were worried,

  • Yaaaaaaaay... Go DEN.... Ugh.. mark ... :S

  • 1:17 plastic helmet

  • Comment removed

  • I knew everything already... because I've watched the video before =p

  • How about the fact that vikings didnt have horns on their helmets?

    Danish history FTW

  • @dansidan888 We wore spangelhelm's. Which in the "viking revival" in the 19th(English/american term) Our 18th century, people started to reproduce them to look like that...and we keep selling them all over scandinavia..fueling the fucking ignorance >.< so...sorry my drunk danish friend, i'm just kidding with ya ;) ..but we..will never get away from the viking helmets issue..

  • no one discovered america it was already there with its own people

  • @oliverholmes123123 The first discovery by western people. What do ya expect?

  • @oliverholmes123123 no one said invent... just discover...

  • @vibekeholmquist yes no one said invent (including me) so what are you talking about

  • @oliverholmes123123 asian people discovered America first then scandinavia and then other people.

  • @oliverholmes123123 well ofcours the "own people" was the ones that discovered it, considering we all origenelly come from africa.

  • @oliverholmes123123 Are you idiot? Of course it was there dumass but the rest of the world was not aware of its existence, so someone had to DISCOVER it, not INVENT it.

  • @ThrashoDeath Kiid shut your mouth you're ugly. You look like a camel toe you fat bitch.

  • @ThrashoDeath One there is no need for name calling, America was not just some empty land people lived here. thats like me going to your house and saying "i just discovered new land" i am not aware of your houses existence you might not have one, who knows but that dosnt mean i discovered anything. I was just stating people lived there before these said people "discovered" it. As for me saying invent instead of discover people make mistakes obviously i meant discover. calm yourself its a video

  • @ThrashoDeath And now that i look i didnt even say the word invent in my comment. if your going to insult someones intelligence please be correct. thank you, have a good life.

  • @oliverholmes123123 I didn't say you said INVENT, I just meant that the word DISCOVER is ok to be used for Americas case. Like if you find, say, an underwater city where humans live, humans were living there anyway, but you can say you discovered it, since you and the rest of the world didn't know it. Same with the American Continent. Yes I know I have to calm down but when I try so, I feel that I'm going against my nature and thanks for not backfiring names, that's cool.

  • @ThrashoDeath i believe in respect

  • @ThrashoDeath Im sorry i just feel really strongly about native americans and after all we did to them the least we can do is give them the credit for being here first.

  • @oliverholmes123123 someone must have, unless the human race evolved there.

  • @CakesnakeFilms then dont give the credit to the vikings give it to the people frome asia that came over here back when the land was still connected

  • @oliverholmes123123 i didn't

  • @oliverholmes123123

America wasn't America until Christopher Columbus found it -_-

  • @theledgendaryzombie *sigh* really then, please tell me what this land was called before it was called America, please share your knowledge with me im dieing to know-_-

  • @oliverholmes123123

Oh wow where do I start?

The Spanish called North America, Florida.

The English called North America, Virginia.

The northern part of North America was called New England in 1616, but was often referred to as Norumbega.

Western North America was named Nova Albion by Francis Drake.

Regions under control of the Hudson's Bay Company was called Rupert's Land, which eventually made up a large portion of the Dominion of Canada, the modern state of Canada.

  • @oliverholmes123123 yeah, the same who Mongoloids who wiped the original Caucasoid inhabitants out when they got there, at least that's what the earliest skeletal remains suggests.

Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony.

  • @godkingRoss im not doubting the fact that there were people in america when the native americans found it. we can sit hear and debate about how there were people before those people and people before them what im saying is christopher columbus doesnt deserve the praise and neither do the vikings its the people who where already living here that deserves the recognition.

  • They seem kinda crazy

  • Scandinavian brothes and sisters! Who the fuck did't know the no. 6? :D

  • @Chrisdidnotmakethis Morons i guess? :P "Torsdag" I wonder what the name came from..hm... "Måndag(Máni/Måne) Tisdag(Tyr/Tiwaz) Onsdag(Oden/Odr) Torsdag(Thor/Tor/Donar/) Fredag(Frigg)

  • yeah this is a bueatiful thought and i can only hope to come from this lenage from what i know i come from german irish english and cherokee damn its no wonder why im considered messed up in todays world

  • @Soullessbastard Mate, don't feel bad. I'm Native European, Celtic, Germanic(German, english, danish, swedish, dutch etc) Italian and Eastern european, you think you're messed up? Atleast you don't have those genetics thanks to rape...i do on the other hand..

  • YEAH THOR

  • I know the most of these things, cuz i'm a viking from Scandinavia...

  • 1:44 I have had nightmares about a foggy underworld in my childhood. I was in a big hall with people in it, like a seminar, and I felt like my head was stuck inside a think woolen sweater.

  • Vikings considered some insults so powerful by law a man was free to kill his slanderer.

Wow, how you like them apples, bullies?

  • 0:55 You have wrongly equalized (English) "modern times" and the mankind.

  • It was neither columbus or the vikings who discovered North America. It was first populated by the people who came accros the bering land bridge during the ice age. In other words, the FIRST Nations.

  • @DiscoCadetCondorPerv The first people from the old world to discover America is what I assume.

  • So the Vikings are the discovers of America, not the columbians ?!

  • Thursday is still Thor's day

    Swedish: Torsdag

    Tors = Thor's

    Dag = Day

  • Why is the vikings killing christians and destroying religious items in a video titled TEN THING YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE VIKINGS? The Vikings were know for doing just that, killing christians and destroying and louting churches, that's how they were remembered!

  • @JohnTheHutDweller wow you didn't know to much about vikings then? don't meaning to insult you it's just a question. but vikings weren't only doing that, they loved to make poems and songs, and stories.

  • @deathwolf195 No in fact I know pretty much about the vikings their rituals and their Religion WHAT I SAID WAS that's what they were remembered for. The Vikings were known to be hostile towards christians and violently Pagan. That is the one and only fact most people know about the vikings. In fact I already knew all 10 things in the video. The person should have put stuff like "at ragnarok all the gods die in battle" or something. reread what I actually posted as a comment

  • @JohnTheHutDweller To be fair, you're just replying to some 14 year old norwegian who probably was only educated in seal clubbing and drilling for oil. Oooops, too much scandinavian racism got in there... phew.

  • @JohnTheHutDweller aha, sorry for the comment then.

  • how could people discover a continent with people living on it already hmmmm

  • Swedish vikings FTW !

  • @Alboroize Yeah, well, fuck you!

  • @TheIclandicViking Hahaha, why ?

  • @TheIclandicViking i saw your channel, You are a grown man, And you post comments like that, Damn Some people are just to much...

  • @Alboroize You will notice that i call my self The iceladic viking. Cant a "grown man" make a joke?

  • @TheIclandicViking What, Was that a joke ? OMG, you got a bad sence of humor !!!!

  • @Alboroize Humor is relative.

  • @TheIclandicViking Ehhhhhm, Okaaay ?

  • @TheIclandicViking Someone says "Swedish vikings For The Win !" and you reply with "fuck you!" ??? Why call yourself TheIclandicViking if you have something against Vikings? Whatever...

  • @rusman74x you are a dumbass

  • I knew every one of those already. Maybe that's because I'm Norwegian. :D

  • @sopp44 :D are you a Viking? :D

  • @Nasbayern Of course I am. I drink mead, beer and run around with axes.

  • @sopp44 hahahahah : D

  • Go Sweden :DDD

  • I'd love to see a top 10 for historical mysteries!

It could contain mysteries like the mysterious Sea People who allegedly destroyed the Mediterranean's most powerful civilizations, but succumbed to Egypt. All this within 50 years around 1200 b.c.

    Keep it up!

  • The real vi kings were black. :|

  • Never call a viking a noob.

  • Vikings need more attention in history class. Especially Lief Ericson.

  • comon! rewrite the history of america! Erase Colombus from the record! replace with VIKING YAHOOOO!!!

  • Go Scandinavia!

  • @SuperSkarmDG ...lol i thumbs down your comment bcoz i dont like you bcoz you are different. scandinavia? lol are u kidding?

  • man, i love scandinavian culture! also fuck the christians, they desecrated the pagan viking lands of scandinavia forcely inciting christianity in there

  • @Woulv92 GOD SHALL PUNISH YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE SAID!!!

  • @SuperKiller954 really? whats he gonna do?

  • @SuperKiller954 and yet again, fuck Christians and their unending war to convert everyone to their religion of worshiping a zombie jew who is his own father.

  • @Kalezian Actually, fuck israeli's. They're the ones who own 200 warheads and threaten to bomb anyone who doesn't listen to them. They're not even REAL jews, haha!

  • @Ruttie2 - The 200 warheads may be true, but the rest of your claims are complete, horrid lies.

  • @LeCommensale No it isn't. I bet you never heard of the KHAZARS.

  • @SuperKiller954 What is God going to do? Send us to hell? I don't think so. There is no God.

  • Great video. Very accurate. However, allow me to elaborate upon the motivation for the Vikings' hatred of Christendom... Recall the Spanish Inquisition; centuries past the age of the Vikings, yet the activities of Papal Rome early on in Viking villages and towns would precede the Inquisition as a template toward the destruction of heritage and spirituality that would not acquiesce to the Papal model. The Vikings did not tolerate that, thus it were a bonus to sack the sacred. Subbed you.

  • Obelix: These Vikings are Crazy!!

  • I don't find it a coincidence at all that they respected women and were hated because they destroyed religious items...

  • People already knew vikings first discovered North America

  • If your from Scandinavia you probebly knew the most of this

  • i knew them all im norwegian

  • I knew all of that...

Is it cheating if I am Norwegian?

  • @josho1805 no but it makes us awesome

  • I accually knew like 3 or 4 of the facts!

  • The Vikings did beat Columbus to the North America, but they no more "discovered" it than Columbus did. You cant discover a continent that is already populated by several civilizations.

  • @EarlofCrawford did you know that they even build a colony there and today when we talk about it it´s called New Sweden.

  • @DrMacdudeGuy

ahahah new sweden was built in the 17th century by swedes not vikings.

the viking colony was called Vinnland and was located somewhere on the eastern shores of Canada.

  • @mcempires well ok thanks!

  • Vikings were so bad ass... I bet they would be the first to attack the modern scandinavian people these days who are metrosexual hipsters. I guess all the good genes left that part of the world when the vikings started to settle after their conquests.

  • @Romeowasbleeding1 vikings were metrosexual , and hipsters

  • #11 They never wanted Brett Favre.

  • LOL i knew like more than half of it...

  • i knew about half of them oO

  • The dog thing was probably a bad mistake, sense Sweden and Denmark would spend the next 500 years killing itchother.

  • The vikings almost had the entire UK and some swedish vikings went down to the roman empire and became bodyguards to emperors. Some even think that the vikings builded a village in russia and is now very big (I don't remember which or the name)

  • @k4duty Vikings founded Kiev i think, also Novgorod.

  • @k4duty You should check out Harald Hardrada (Harald Hardråde). Probs the most bad ass viking king to have ever lived :)

  • @k4duty Roman empire ceased to exist about 250 years before vikings (we know today) appeard... about Russian village.... wtf? there were trade routes along the rivers of ukraine and w. russia. linking baltic with balkan and east europe since the ancient greeks..... Ur history is messed up...

  • @TheHannibalos I didn't really mean the roman empire but in Konstantinopel, sorry...

  • @k4duty oh... u mean eastern roman empire (byzantine), ok....

  • lol a dog king, i didnt know that

  • Did they have 50% resistance to cold?

  • @monstaslaya haha

  • @monstaslaya Motherfucker we still exist and yes we fucking do! Don't you make me come in my huge fucking longship and pillage your damn city! Damn... why do we always have to remind people we still exist...a little pillaging here and there wouldn't do no harm..

  • @PubliusTarvos Shut the fuck up I'm Swedish and we don't go around pillaging and shit.

  • @monstaslaya Verkligen? Det trodde jag fan inte en jänkare skulle säga till mej, Ta mej fan vilken niding du är, vänta lite... Ska fixa en nidstång åt dej ;) Have a nice day, Sire. Sincerly, The Swedish-Walloon.

  • In other words - Vikings were pretty fucking awesome!

  • "insults were considered worse when expressed in verse" lol

  • The Vikings were the only people ever to conquer Scotland, gaddamn joo vikings!

  • I knew everything because I'm Danish.

  • Im from Denmark the central of the vikings :)

  • Here's another thing you obviously didn't know: The Vikings never had horns on their helmets! That helmet design was actually invented in Britain during the 19th Century.

  • @JozefKPilsudski I knew that. x) It was invented in Britain just so the vikings would look cool.

  • @JozefKPilsudski yes they used to drink from the horns! use them as cups.

  • @biintzki what have you been reading?

  • @JozefKPilsudski from the curved branches of skulls, i.e. from horns (from wikipedia) and in school i was teached that they drinked from the actual horns not from skulls but idk...

  • @JozefKPilsudski horrible histories?

  • ok where are the 10 things i didnt know about my ancestors? :0 i knew all those already ._.

  • Here is a much more known fact: The Minnesota Vikings suck

  • I hate these "you didn't know" titles I'm pretty sure there was only one thing in that video I hadnt known...

  • I'm proud to be of Nordic descent. If only more of the Viking blood flowed through my veins...

  • Yet again another great video. But what about the viking who managed to delay the entire english army, killing about 40 men. The bridge was narrow so a lot of soldiers couldn't attack him at once.

  • Vikings are awesome

  • Comment removed

  • @PuddingLarsson Did they never get to Finland?

  • @TheRaygunTribe I don't think that Finland has been a viking country...

  • the idea of an earspoon kinda makes me wanna yak

  • awwww, why did denmark have to annex norway anyway? norway had a much more awesome flag and better borders before denmark annexed us :(

  • @armzngunz True :)

  • The Sáomi people was respected by the vikings, they were more friends back then, now in the last 40 years, the sápmi people have been suppressed by the norwegian government, but we're getting more and more rights. but i wonder, why didn't the UN stop norway in the 1970's? :/

  • @armzngunz My government is suppressing the Sâomi/samene? How? I've never heard of that. =\ Just curious is all =)

  • half of all the footage in this video is recorded at a vikings museum in denmark

  • its Walhalla not Valhalla

  • @maassuporters ehm, no it isn't

  • I'm a proud, Norwegian viking. Yus.

  • did they fus ro dah?

  • @Mrtrollzar1 No. They didn't...

  • @Mrtrollzar1 Yes....yes we did, but we say "skål" like cheers :)

  • @Mrtrollzar1 Nah, but the Swedish ones should have done that. XD

  • @Mrtrollzar1 the ones who said no on this is kinda right, but kinda wrong. they didn't say FUS RO DAH, they roared like a it was a FUS RO DAH. (the capitals were to show the strength of the words)

  • Im from sweden :) so my gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas gramphas grampha was like this :D

  • ear spoons...ew

  • here's another thing most people did not know about Vikings. There's actual genuine true historical genetic Viking Blood...in SICILIANS. No joke, no exaggeration. See the video on that: watch?v=37Obr9bTZcU

  • @HistoryArchiver Normans are descendants of vikings and normans conquered sicily from arabs

  • I'm proud to descend from the vikings (Norway)

  • @Bioniclefan45 And i am proud to be from land what you Vikings used to raid.. (Finland.)

  • @IC3DIC3 None taken (I'm just assuming you didn't mean anything by it).

Regards from Norway to Finland, fellow northern europeans

  • @Bioniclefan45 me too *high five*
