  • thats some serious dancing at 1:31-1:42

  • The dancer was the great Cornell Gunter! He was the openly gay member of the group!

  • that was great .. thank you .. I think that was the first rock and roll song I remember hearing in the 50s when I was a kid..great memories

  • The Coasters could put over a Leiber and Stoller song like nobody's business.

If you agree, raise your hand, and Happy New Year.

  • One person got picked on!

  • what is that dance move called at 1:31? It is soooooo coooool!

  • @TheMovieman159 Looks like the Charleston, but I'm not saying it is! aha Just looks a bit like it

  • I love the slapstick! I know the song, but the performance is even funnier. Thank you for a good performance!

  • Four "brothers" conking their hair-- don't see that too much nowadays. PS Miss Thing sure can dance!

  • Fantastic video without the numbers. So sad so many of the great writers and entertainers from my era are passing. Thanks for the post.

  • R.I.P Jerry Leiber

  • Cornell Gunter with the fancy dance steps

  • That was brilliant! Not only is the music of yesterday better than the music of today, but music was also better presented yesterday compared to today!

  • :O Damn, this is like an actual music video. For some reason, it reminds me of all of those early Looney Tunes/Disney shorts that served only the purpose of providing animation for some random tune (hence, Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies, I suppose). Thank you for uploading this.

  • R.I.P. CARL GARDNER this is a classic video where did u get it

  • R.I.P. Carl Gardner

  • 2:20 video: popular Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller novelty song "Charlie Brown" that was a 1959 #2 hit for The Coasters, founded by Carl Gardner (born April 29, 1928). It is best known for the phrase, "Why's everybody always pickin' on me?"
