  • such a good video...wish they would play it live more often

  • this song is stuck in my head...

  • Such a great song. Too bad it didn't make it to the offical release.

  • Me gusta mucho la introducción, el riff del bajo, las guitarras, el tono le sienta bien a JL, y no digamos los coros... excelente!!!

  • Derreck Sherinian on keyboards right?

  • the best dream theater ever!

  • Absolutely fantastic!

     <3

  • Forever Alone ;_;

  • simply beautiful thats all that words can say about this song if you want to disagree then you obviously need to die

the intro is great from jp and labrie is just on his a game

  • I really dig this song.

  • Why is called unlpugged if their instruments are plugged??

  • @albertmetal93 only John Petrucci can plug in an electric guitar and call it unplugged. conversely, only John Petrucci can play an acoustic guitar and call it plugged in.

  • This is such a great song. I've heard quite a few times from watching 5 Years In a LIVEtime. But then I watched the video again, and this song just ... Spoke To Me, for lack of a better description.

Does anyone know where I can get the studio recording of this song. Is it on any single release?

  • @KieferSuth1985Marx This song is in the "Fallinf into Inifnity Demos 1996-1997" Album. You can purchase it via the ytsejam records.

  • Sounds like U2, awesome!

  • great unknown song by dt. have you already listened to jordan rudess piano version on "notes on a dream"?

  • I still don't get why this song didn't make the album.

It's my favorite off of the Falling into Infinity Sessions. Good thing it made this DVD though.

  • @kharnvelzyghur

Being a competant musician isn't pretentious

  • U2 song!!!!

  • Cabe resaltar que en este concierto James si aprovecho el potencial de su voz... :O adoro su voz... jaja

  • DT Fucking Rulzzzz

  • sounds like U2, but it's an amazing song

  • Yeah, this is basically Anybody Listening.

  • Holy!! It is, too! Both are awesome songs, I just never thought about the similarities in the intros :P

  • I have the studio version of this song on the Falling Into Infinity Demos bootleg release, if anyone cares.

  • i need to get that CD, it's got a lot of good stuff on it

  • This reminds me so much of "Anybody Listening?" by Queensryche.

  • I LIKE THIS SONG

  • f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c song

  • This song needs to be on an official release...this exact version and not something thrown on a dvd. Too perfect.

  • i really apprecciate the voice of James, but I must admit that he improved a lot since then...

  • @dduraeso Ruptured vocal chords isn't the best for a singer. :P

  • @dduraeso This wasn't too many years after LaBrie's vocal cords were ruptured. He's said it took him years to recover from that. Also, this kind of "acoustical" set really focuses on the vocal strengths of the band, and all three singers (LaBrie, Portnoy, and Petrucci) have some issues in that area.

  • Beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes to see this guys perform. They are immortal.

  • Tell me what you're feeling...

  • lovely solo from JP

  • K tema + copado!!!!!!muy lindooo....

  • this song it absolutely beautiful.

  • @petrucenoy089 amazing how the idiots of the record company of the time thought this song wasn't good enough for an album...just like Cover My Eyes and Raise the Knife....how cool would Falling into Infinity be if these songs were there too? :-)

  • jeez look at how small petrucci is compared to how big he is now :O

  • Unless I miss my guess, this is _not_ a song originally composed by Dream Theater, or?

  • Yep. It is a b-side from "Falling into Infinity" :)

  • It is composed by them.

  • @phonohead Yup, this is a Dream Theater tune. It was made during a very climatic stage in their career, Falling Into Infinity.

  • @phonohead it's a DT original and you can find the studio version of this in a bootleg called Cleaning Out the Closet that has amazing songs never released and 2 different versions of To Live Forever :)

  • Has this ever come out on CD on one of their bootlegs?

  • Awesome. This has become one of my favorite DT songs.

  • Beautiful song.....DT rules!!!

  • this isn't very good in my opinion... i mean you can listen to it n all but come oon this isn't DT material!!

  • not real DT material ?

    such a noob comment.
