I don't want to be one of those assholes that posts simply because of hate of the artist. I don't hate this, and it actually has several beautiful qualities. However, his "amazing voice" is simply falsetto throughout this whole video. Yeah, fine, pretty, melodic, soothing, etc. But by no means would I say it's an "amazing" voice.
I found Ray a few days ago, on my first day off, I bought all his albums... They are many talented artists in this world that use music as their vehicle. But when I listen to this song, I understand that Ray doesn't create music, he is music...Ty for the wonderful dreams Ray, I am forever grateful.
It's amazing that this has so few views and another version of the same song with random images in black and white and a fat dude baring his stomach has half a million
Who let the english teachers out?? Who really cares about the 'correct use of prolific' you whining bunch of nit-picking, know-it-alls. The song is what we are here for. Relax, you may even enjoy the music (but don't hold you breath).
@Lemure333 it isn't to anyone. Do you even know what 'prolific' actually means?! here's a definition for you: 'If something or someone is prolific it frequently produces large amounts of work.' Ray LaMontagne isn't prolific, he hasn't comparatively written much material (though virtually all of it is brilliant) and as for calling a song prolific, haha, how the hell can one song be prolific, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Go get a dictionary before you arrogantly treat be with contempt!
@lamlyn Yes, I do know what it means.... point being, if it's prolific to one person and not you, leave it at that man. Actually a song can produce great amounts of energy or stimuli with someone and yes, it could be used as a term. I hear you and you need to be right so go back to pointing meaningless shit out to others as if they care. She was feeling it and the best word for her was "prolific". Let it be...
@Lemure333 I can't actually get over what you just sent me! It's hilarious. Prolific is not a hard word to understand, or are you just one of those people (I've met several of these types) who don't actually know much but use big words to sound intellectual! haha, I'm very intrigued, give me YOUR definition of 'prolific' and explain to me how a song can be 'prolific' to christieflower and to others...
@lamlyn I actually thought you said it's "not" one of the nicest, it is not prolific. I read that wrong but still she used prolific in a way that did make sense technically. " To produce with great frequency" I don't know about you but this song creates an intense rush and the frequency itself is AMAZING.
@Lemure333 clearly we live on different planets. My original intent was purely to say that prolific doesn't mean that. I'm not some kind of malicious villain. I'll leave it at that because i'm getting misunderstood completely. thanks anyway
@lamlyn and @Lemure333 you both need to listen to the song instead of arguing over it so you can chill the fuck out. a great man once said it is better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought an idiot than open it and remove all doubt. theres no doubt with the both of you. now stop arguing so ppl can ENJOY the song

Just curious, how do you use "prolific" in that sentence if that was incorrect? BTW, love this song!
KingweezieIII 1 year ago
@KingweezieIII You wouldn't use that word in that sentence. 'Prolific' means 'productive'.
