  • Pity about the bullshit music.

  • 3.5 litre Aurion has more power and I think it's a little quicker 0-100 than the HSV.

But for cruising the torque of the 5 litre would be handy.

  • im assuming that would be one of the new Aurions you are talking about? cause if it is its not really fair to compare a new car to a car that is 11 years old, you would have to compare it to the new HSVs which are over 300kw which the Aurion wouldnt have...or compare my car with an 11 year old car...which there are plenty to choose from that would have more power then my car :P even the series 2 version of my car has heaps more power then mine :P

  • @SomebodySomeFreak

Haha nah i'm just saying those guys driving around in the 5l V8 HSV's reving up at you etc....can be beaten by grandma's in their fwd v6 aurions.

I just think it's funny how far cars have advanced...that the performance machines of 10 yrs ago are now equal to the oldies cars of today.

  • @SomebodySomeFreak

Oh and the Aurions aren't new...they came out back in 2006

  • well they are still 7 years newer then my car :P but yeah i know what u mean by how standard normal cars these days have just as much power as the old muscle cars...i think i saw on Top Gear they compared old race cars to todays normal cars and the normal cars have more power....just imagine the power cars will have in 20 years time :D although the way the world is going they will all be electric crap cars :P

  • @SomebodySomeFreak

Haha yeh hopefully no electric cars anytime soon :(

And i'm not baggin it out or anything, it's fast, and i got a vx v6 myself and I love it.

  • i need to do my engine up....even the sv6 ve commodore has as much power as mine...:P hmm get some money and throw a supercharger on her :P and then wait a few years and the standard cars will still have more power then that :P

  • @SomebodySomeFreak ive got the engine of that exact car sitting in the back of my house

i wanna chuck it into a 1988 commodore

  • what mountain?

  • One of the ones around Healesville, Myers Creek Road heading towards Toolangi...

  • How many sec in 100km/h? 195kw.

  • Im not exactly sure, I have tested it before but i cant remember now :P

  • I loved it mate, I need a new cd player in my clubbie and that one would look good in my VT 5.0 ( did you know there where only 557 manuals made of the 5.0 VT Clubsport ) there price sould start to go up now.

  • i like my stereo, it can play movies, tv, video games, anything u want :P they should be collectors items soon, thats probably why i couldnt find a manual when i was looking for one...or the ones i found were too expensive :P i can always change this one to a manual when i have money for it :P

  • Nice ride dude, i use to own a '97 myself. Shame that now Holden use USA engines (but they go like hell!).

I'd like to see HSV develop something totally Aussie again. FPV have the Typhoon(as a total Aussie made car), we need the Torana back ! The concept car was also a 6Cyl 270 Kw turbo.

  • Thats awesome, love the aussie 5.0 what is the cool speedo and tacho thing u got thats mad! what is it!!! i want one

  • the speedo thing is part of my dvd player, its an attachment that figures out speed, g forces, revs, angle of the car, and a whole heap of other stuff and it displays it on the dvd screen

  • If u look through my other videos u will find one that goes for about 10 mins that shows what all the dvd parts do like that stats display

  • Nice one, but i thought the last of the 5l Clubby's were 1998, that's what mine is.

  • hmm well the rego sticker says its a 1999 model and it is the 5l, unless its a 98 model but was first registered in 99 and thats why the rego says 99....where else would it say the year it was made?

  • I've looked into it, 99 was a transitional year for the VT's some came out with the 5l some with the gen 3 5.7l. As for info on yuor car year and month made, colour etc... check the plates in your engine bay and being a hsv it should also have the build number. Anyway nice car love the clubby's

  • i have looked at the plates but i cant remember what they say now :P i will have a look at it but i would say its a 99 since thats what the rego says, on the inside of the car there is a badge with the build number on it, clubbys are great :D

  • i had a quick look and my car is a Feb 99 model, so it must have been one of the last of the 5 litres

  • Sweet, go the 5 litres :D, the last true aussie v8 :D

  • 5.0L came in 99 aswell but series 1 so early 99 the series 2 was the LS1 which was late 99

  • sweet as, love the music

  • Awesome dude! Go The Aussie V8!

  • your a fucking dickhead , you could have killed someone

  • you could kill someone with your lameness
