Tragic to see that this type of stupidity is still prevalent within all societies the thing is that nearly all crimes are based on "hate" in one form or another. Adding special legal terms to crimes of "hate" will have a Pandora's box affect in our judicial system but will do little to lower the rates of these crimes. the money for all of this would be better spent on education instead of more thoughtless laws on the books.
I understand that and hate crimes need to be removed. It is already illegal to assault ,kill ,etc. Adding more time to a punishment will do little to dissuade these acts. The money would be better spent on education and if someone commits a hate crime they should be put into a program where they meet with people that are part of the group that they hate. Education and putting a face on the hatred will do more good than legislation and time served.

Tragic to see that this type of stupidity is still prevalent within all societies the thing is that nearly all crimes are based on "hate" in one form or another. Adding special legal terms to crimes of "hate" will have a Pandora's box affect in our judicial system but will do little to lower the rates of these crimes. the money for all of this would be better spent on education instead of more thoughtless laws on the books.

I understand that and hate crimes need to be removed. It is already illegal to assault ,kill ,etc. Adding more time to a punishment will do little to dissuade these acts. The money would be better spent on education and if someone commits a hate crime they should be put into a program where they meet with people that are part of the group that they hate. Education and putting a face on the hatred will do more good than legislation and time served.

The problem I have with this video is that it portrays Christians as hating Gay People. That's simply not true. I really pisses me off that they chose to portray Christians the way they did. Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin. I also don't care for the way they portrayed Former President Bush. If you want to have peace and tolerance...you're going to have to have a little tolerance for others' beliefs.

It is physically impossible to really love me, if you "hate" a part of me. It is impossible to really want the best for me (aka love) and not want equal rights for me. Sorry this is just bs.

Beautiful. My school's Gay Straight Alliance was in consideration of using this video as a public announcement. We've had trouble in the past about our cause (beinging peace regardless of race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, etc), and already we've gotten verbal attacks and threats against us. I hope that this will be acceptable.

The problem with hate crimes laws is that they are are a slippery slope. They begin by unconstitutionally criminalizing the thought with the criminal action. Once is is established that the government has jurisdiction over the thoughts individuals think then it is a simple step to directly legislating what people are allowed to think. Once that happens freedom is gone. Europe has become the European Soviet Union and America is about to follow.

The only reason he left the bar that he meet them at was b/c they said they were gay too. Once in the truck they pistol whipped him and left him to die tied to a fence. Not once did they take any of his possesions so thier for it cannot be remotely considered a robbery. Learn the facts.
