Unarmed and innocent civilians are also killed by drone attacks, bombing and indiscriminate fire from US military. In Vietnam it was My Lai and other attrocities. In Korea it was bridge at No Gun Ri that US soldiers machine gunned helpless refugees. In Philippine-American War 110 years ago, thousands died from hamletting, executions and torture. US has a long history of WAR CRIMES.

I wouldn't call it a waste if it really got something and it totally depends on the distance. Shooting 30mm cannon to long distance isn't a good idea if you can't guarantee that you hit the target.
They used a Hellfire missile on a group of two people? I would have used the 30mm auto cannon, but I guess they know what they are doing...
