401s have great power above 1800 rpm but below 1500 down they go fast. 9600 at 3:35. Deere stays in a little longer down low. 401s were big bore short stroke compared to 404 Deere.

GOD I miss these- it just isn't the same after moving to Norwich, even though it's just over the hill- the ones at the fairgrounds just aren't the same. Maybe next summer I'll go to the Mt. Upton ones again for old time's sake.
