  • Was this at the IMM 2011 Switzerland? There is a picture of it in an article in a magazine i have.

  • @nitroxlodd Yes, the car and I were at the IMM 2011 in St.Stephan. Pictures of it have appeared in MiniWorld and MiniMagazine, too.

  • @gnewsch Nice! it looks great by the way. the magazine i saw it in is an Australian mag called "The mini Experience".

  • @nitroxlodd Thanks! Didn't know about that, I'd be interested to see the article, if you have any means to take a picture of it.

  • @gnewsch Yeah no worries, if you send me a personal message with an email address i can send you a picture.

  • Makes me miss mine, I put a 1275 A+ Metro engine in, a Copper pulled me over as he had trouble keeping up with me up a really steep hill, was Applejack Green with a Dark Bronze Roof, got written off while parked, woman had sun in her eyes and didn't see the car, silly bint was taking kids to school and didn't think to slow down when blinded by sun.

excellent vid guys, I have another car with as much Character now, but its an unpractical 2seater, Clubman estate, most practical car I ever had :-)

  • @CrustyBiker Thanks for the comment, took it for a drive this weekend and am already hooked again:) Under the bonnet is a thirteen-eighty, so hills are not a problem either;)

  • @gnewsch Yep a 1380 will defo do the trick alright!! I had the 3 dial speedo too, I found a 1275 GT in the scrappy once and had to have em, The mileage then showed the rough mileage of the engine (55000) rather than the car which had done a fair bit more... bet these are so rare to find in scrappies now for parts?

  • The rev counter bouncing like that can mean coil faliure in the near future, nice car though, I like it!

  • @behenjamin thanks for the hint. it may just be a mistake we made hooking it up without passing through the voltage regulator, but once that is fixed and if it's still acting weird, we can have a closer look at the coil.

  • Problem solved. The tacho was simply broken:)

  • thanks. still needs some minor work, but it's shaping out well.

  • Looks like new. Nice job. Keep up the likes with Minis!
