  • Congrats to you both! My daughter has PCOS (she's 19) and I have been worrying about her weight (she's 300+) for sometime. It's good see that you were able to kick it to the curb!

  • Congratulations :) Make sure you eat extra lean meats, lots of veggies n stuff. Nutritionists will say its ok to gain 50 - 60 lbs I find.. When I was pregnant with my second child, I did aerobics the whole time and juiced vegetables like crazy - I didn't gain fat, just baby bump, and the baby was 7.6 and very healthy. My doctor nagged me to gain weight the whole time but after I had the baby she took back her words and said that she was wrong, the baby is healthy :) I walked out with jeans on.

  • congrats im 29 weeks 30 this thursday with my first and its a boy!!!!

  • Oh my gosh - congratulations!!! I cannot wait to see your new journey!

    xxx

  • Have been thinking about you & hoping things are well!!!!

  • Update please...How are you doing?

  • Congrats on your pregnancy, April! Don´t worry about your weight - just eat the way you are supposed to as a bariatric patient in normal pouch portions. Your girlfriends didn´t have the surgery so you are actually on up on them because your surgery will help you to take it off again. Stay healthy!

  • hey congrats!!! you look great, take care of both of you, you'll be wonderful, thanks for sharing, you are my daughters age and she is thinking of having a baby soon, best wishes,

  • Yay! Congratulations! Just remember: every woman and every pregnancy is different. I'm not a bariatric patient (yet), but I stumbled upon your vlog while researching personal experiences with WLS. I'm around your pre-op weight and have an 11 month old. I dropped 40 lbs before I got pregnant, and had the same worries. While my OB expected me, the heavy girl, to pack on the pounds, I lost 37 lbs and gained none.

  • Congrats!!! Please keep us up to date!!! :)

  • If you watch what you eat, you can control your weight gain. With both of my pregnancies, I only gained 30 pounds and each of my babies weighed over 10 pounds. Basically three weeks after pregnancy I weighed exactly what I did before pregnancy. You can do it! Stay positive, eat well, but stay away from sweets and simple carbs!

  • Have you considered drinking one green juice a day for the vitamins? My dad is 6 years post-op and was having the same problems, but has drastically improved since drinking one green juice per day. Just a thought!

  • Awesome! Congrats! I hope you can find a good balance between keeping yourself and your baby healthy. I think you will be a great mom! :)

  • Congratulations!!

  • WOOHOO!!! grats girly!

  • Congratulations! I have PCOS and am hoping one day to be able to have another baby. Exspecially since my WLS.

  • Congrats hun.. My baby is now six months. You can do this. If you have any questions there are several of us on here that blogged our WLS pregnancies. You wil be a fantastic mother, but it changes your life. expecially for a WLS veteran. ((hugs))

  • BTW, unrelated, I love listening to your vlogs. You speak well, no crazy "Um, uh... whatever.." pauses. Okay, that's all.

  • YAY! :D Please take care of you. :D

  • I HOPE THAT HAPPENS TO ME TOO....=)

  • OMG!!! YEAH!!! YIPPPEEE!!!! Soooooo excited and happy for you mommy to be! It will all be okay. Just try to enjoy every moment. Lots of milk and protein and veggies! You'll be fine! Keep us posted - had wondered where you'd gone to! Cyberhugs to you and your family-to-be! I gained 32 lbs and lost most at birth and by 2 week checkup had only 2 leftover. You don't have to gain 70 lbs.

  • congrats on the pregnancy!

  • Congrats on the pregnancy! I am really excited for you guys!

Go you for being your own advocate!!! I went through a couple of ignorant PCPs before finding a wonderful PCP who is very well-versed with bariatric patients.

We move. A lot. I am worried about moving next and having to find new medical healthcare professionals.

  • congratulations!!!! well done, you'll be a great mum!!!

  • Congratulations on your pregnancy and don't worry, you'll lose the weight after you have your baby! May God bless you and your husband with a beautiful, HEALTHY baby♥

  • Yay!! congradulations on the pregnancy. You MUST MUST MUST find a OB/gyn that is knowledgable though. Because there are some vits that are dangerous during the first trimester. Talk to you Bariatric surgeon especially since your A is low because A can cause fetal brain damage I believe. PLease PLEASE take care of YOURSELF and the baby! I understand the frustration of gaining but yes its for the baby and Im sure you'll loose it again.

  • Congrats April Soo happy for you!\! Dont stress just make healthy choices!! you've been making them for a long time just keep it up and keep exercising!! :D

  • As I already mentioned on Facebook, I am so happy for you! I know you are going to be a fantastic parent. I have PCOS too, which I am scared will impair my ability to have children.

  • Congrats!! I can completely understand your fears though. It is the same reasons you were speaking about that cause me to go back and forth on whether or not I ever want to have another baby after having had this surgery. It's a scary thought. Anyway... I can't wait to watch your progress in this new journey of yours!! PLEASE keep up with the videos! It's an important life experience that us post-oppers want to know about!!

  • congratulations!

  • Prayers for a healthy baby!!!

  • Congrats - eat healthy foods (don't overeat just becuz your pregnant) and walk like crazy. The most I ever gained was 40 lbs for each of my 3 pregnancies. Have fun!!!

  • Thats wonderful news, congratulations to both of you, as a mum of 3 you never stop worrying about your children. i.e all threw the pregnacy and then when your little bundle arrives the worry really starts, but it all worth it. dont worry to much about you weight gain.

  • Such exciting times for you! A baby - wow! But like RiPc0rDz83 says, what about the body lift scars?? Please, let us know - it would help others. (Well, not me, I'm 51 and have had my 4! Done my part lol)

  • Congrats to both of you!

  • What wonderfull news! You are aware and that is whats important.

  • The fact that you had a tummy tuck and other operation it's not dangerous to stretch the skin again so much with the baby growing??

    PS:You never answer my question....=(

  • It's fine for the skin to stetch. The doctor only asked that I waited 1-2 years before getting pregnant. But there have been woman who got pregnant a month after their tummy tuck! :P It will be fine with the skin :)

  • I am really happy for you!!

  • I have been watching you from the beginning (mostly on my old channel, BUT WOW congrats, this is sooo exciting, We want to hear it all, and be there with you!, Don't worry about your weight, it is for the baby!

  • omg....you're preggers?!?!? I know you already know but talk about the tax on your limited caloric supply....

  • YES!!!! Congrats lady! That's AMAZING! And I can see how you'd freak out about the weight gain...it's REALLY scary thinking you might go back the other way. But you've done so well and you can make it through! Don't worry!

  • congratulations!
