  • @victorguitarrista u can lower the latency with a better soundcard with ASIO driver.

  • I wonder what you use for making up the back tracks?

  • how the hell is his tone so good? guitar rigs tone isnt that good.. i got the exact same settings with a guitar rig box.. and its nothing compared to that..

  • @EpilepticFingers Haha, tone is in the fingers. Work on making each note sound good, and you'll get there.

  • you sir, are a tank of a guitarist

  • Tabs for the solo in the intro please :)

  • @ParadoxicProductions

watch closely and grab your guitar, its not complicated if you have similar speed and dexterity, use your ears a bit too, this helps develop your own style and understanding of were else notes are, right?then you have YOUR STYLE,NOT HIS and thats what you want really in the end.

  • i wish i could play like u:(

  • this guy is the best guitarist ive ever seen on you tube 10/10

  • Is the guitar rig kontrol plugged in to the computer via usb or ethernet or something like that?

  • O M G .that is some guitar sound ,absolutely fantastic ,i recently got myself a pod studio ux2 ,i thought that was good but i think i'll bin it after hearing you,or is it just that your a brilliant guitarist ? god i wish i could play guitar as good as you,.i think i'll give up now ,,,,

  • @bobbyorc guitar rig software works with your pod,i just set up guitar rig 4 to work with my l6 pod gx(the lowest model)it took me under 5 minutes with zewro experience to figure out.

  • Why can't I manage to get the distortion on??

I have a Dean Hardtail plugging it with a 1/4 Jack and a 3M Stereo Cable. The sound does come out of the speaker but I can't put any distortion on

  • WooW! Awesome playing man!

  • thats cool...tq for sharing the info!

  • awesome playing on guitar !!!!

  • @jjenkins134 it does not require a contorller *though it is recomended to make things easier for you* and also a GOOD sound card to make the sound really shine..bad sound cards make this amazing soft ware sound horrible

  • i want to ply like u brother...great

  • hhhhh cooool

  • @jjenkins134

i use software only myself ;D

  • @MarcelotSir

you need to buy an audio interface.

Maybe a model like in the video? I think its better to buy the interface and

to have the software because then you have the whole.....ehm you know

what i´m talking about right? another good interface is the alesis io/2.

  • *goosebumps* you tear it up bro..

  • you are a very talented guitarplayer with alot of feeling and alot of soul. I wish you luck in the future and hope you will never stop playing that guitar. Get a band, make songs dude! :)

  • you look liek a total douche bag pretending to feel music

  • @dialaname Yep thats the only thing I dont like that much of him.. its just too forced.

But the playing is flawless and interesting nevertheless, he used to be one of my fav players some months ago. (then I found about Guthrie, Quayle, etc and its hard to look back :D)

PS: The "free presets" page on the website is not working ;(

  • FUCKIN AWESOME SOLOS man, wished I was that good!!!

  • TIT!

  • 1:26 .!.

  • du karaleo mulek... parabens pelo video, bom gosto nos timbres e na execucao tb...

  • Guys, I have a 300W keyboard amp and Rig Kontrol 3, but guitar rig sounds like crap!!No latency problems, the sound simply sucks! What am I doing wrong?

  • @stergenakis what sound card do you have?

  • @stergenakis You're using a keyboard amp, not voiced for Guitar frequencies. You need to se something like a PA system which tries to preserve original tonal qualities. Or a guitar amp. Guitar rig 4 rocks!

  • dude u are awsome o.o!!!!!!!!!!

  • ok i have asio4all and guitar rig the software.. but i can't figure out how to put the effects on my guitar.. its sounds with no effects :S wat's wrong !

  • do i need a guitar rig controller ?

  • dude ur beast at guitar

  • when i plug my guitar in and i play it seems to be out of sync! i play and then like half second later i hear it on the program :( any help!?!?

  • @adrianslilmusic thats called latency. go to settings and check the buffer settings

  • @adrianslilmusic you have to be using the program with an ASIO Driver/Interface to have NEAR ZERO LATENCY

example being the Rig Kontrol (pedal board), a firepod or other interface

  • Something afordable like M-Audio Fast Track will get close to no latency or delay. hey're cheap on eBay.

  • You really enjoy playing the guitar ^^

  • dude for how many years have you been playing? i want to do that but i only play for 2 years and i can't do hard solo's...

i just figured out how to do the slow solo of metallica's master of puppets but your intro was fuckin INSANE!

    5/5

  • bom video, mas esse cara tira mta onda!

  • nice intro ;)

  • how do u play live, u can conected to a power amp, a amp, or a mixer.?, and wich one is better for a great sound with it.

  • @digfelipe to play live, you could effectively use simply a laptop, the rig control.... just plug it into a DI box, into mixer/snake, then play

you could even run your 2 outputs on Kontrol (1 = DI Box to mixer, 2 = to poweramp for on stage sound)

  • Can i use guitar rig with mi pc line in or mic?

  • @h3kt0rshr3d you could, would have terrible latency issues as the software is optimized with ASIO Drivers.... thus the reason the Rig Kontrol is great. However, you can use it with any other interface as well, firepod, line 6, etc

  • tell me how to play lik u

    (just kidding)

  • Comment removed

  • Oh wow i didnt realise this is Gustavo Guerra - man you are fucking unreal! i saw you playing Satriani covers years ago - you're insane!

  • lol the username GGuerra hmmmm what was your first clue

  • What's that chord at 0:27 - sounds like LA Guns in Electric Gypsy! if anyone knows lemme know thanks!

  • does the sound come out of the controller or speakers or what?

  • saya suka sekali video ini,keren...

  • il Gustavo sona bene senza neppure pensare cosa deve fare, le sue mani si muovono in totale autonomia , è un fenomeno poco comune, che culo !!!!

  • Does the guitar rig software allow you to do recordings?

  • I am using Guitar Rig 3 with pro tools 8 and it is so noisy - am I doing something wrong? and should I create a stereo or mono track

  • u should check rather ur cable, jack and sound card/driver

  • when i play the guitar and use gutiar rig 3 i get an delay for like 1 second, it very annoying please help

  • preferences / buffer size. set it low.

  • alright i give it a try:D thenks for the fast response:D

  • i cant find the buffer size in preferences:(

  • well there's something in preferences. might be called latency maybe?

  • in options/preferences i got:window heigt midi learn popup window show help hints rig kontrol 1 rig kontrol pedal calibration rig kontrol ext pedal calibration rig kontrol 3 ext pedal 1 mode rig kontrol 3 ext pedal 2 mode nothing related to buffer or latency:( i do am in the right menu right?

  • Up the top of screen you've got Guitar Rig 3, FILE, EDIT,VIEW, HELP.

File/Preferences. NOT the OPTION button on GR3 itself.

But I'm sure you've sussed that by now.

  • The problem you are facing is latency. you'll need to install asio drivers on your comp. and then work on the settings in guitar rig. hope this helps. if not, google is always there.

    cheers!

  • @bramnokia or if you ahve it in your mic input on computer, go to the mic settings and make sure that "listen to this device" is NOT checked

  • whats the name of the USB thing u need to plug into the computer so you can play

  • I don't know if anyone can help me but... When i turn on guitar rig 3 i can't play any music in may pc, it is only guitar rig like a computer turns to an amp. I woudlike to example :play guitar rig and also turn on some backing trac. Thx anyway

  • eres una basura me das asco!!!!!!

  • siiiii aguante steve vai

  • Does guitar rig act like effects that you can put on a live playing guitar or does it also have VST capability to it? Fruity Loops Guitar vst that you can play with a midi keyboard?

  • hey guys i need some help on something. Ive only been playing for 1 year and I'm not really sure on what i should get as my next guitar so I'm looking for advice

  • wathever you can affort dude, but in my personal opinion ibanez rg series rocks

  • @2192productions thats really funny because i got it before you told me and i got the RG350EX

  • dont get a guitar with a trem... tuning is a pain in the ass.... just get a les paul with a burstbucker or a lone star strat.

  • @ilovemagic01 it's only a pain in the ass if you want to drop tune, if your going to stay in a set tuning then it's fine, and you only have to tune it every couple of days

  • @ilovemagic01 and even then you only have to use the fine tuning pegs

  • @ilovemagic01 it depends what you need... yea i hate tremolos also :D

But if you're into satch, vai ect. you'll need a tremolo.

    Cheers

  • @ilovemagic01 this guitar has a interlocking nut so the strings dont get out of tune

  • @ilovemagic01 just wanted to say fuck both those guitars. choosing a guitar is all personal preference. and who ever it is you're telling not to get a Trem bridge for a floyd rose as most people call it. if you're gonna get a guitar with Floydrose ask if you can get a lesson on how to change ur strings urself and never forget how to do that. paying extra to get strings changed for you everytime they break is costly and it discourages most. play what you want dont listen to other people.

  • @mikizzle16 chill out men, i have a floyd rose or should i say edge pro trem, though tuning is a pain when you change your string..but its all worth it :)... great sound from mine anyway

  • oh yeah... and if you have questions ask me... :D

  • you're asking youtube?

  • you're asking not just youtube, but a youtube comment board?

  • @rottenjellybean45 les paul, stratocaster?

  • @rottenjellybean45 go with an ibanez man, but it really depends on the music u play.

  • Just smoking man! Brought tears to my eyes. Very nice!

  • complimenti.....

  • Nice tutorial!

Looking really forward on buying this, not only is really easy to use and has a very high quality but it's also very cheap for the things it offers!

  • how much is guitar rig 3

  • Very good!.Sound perfect!!!

  • Is there a program out there where you can just plug your guitar in and play without any foot controls or anything?

  • Yes, guitar rig.

  • How?

  • you dont need to have the foot control. we just recorded my friends band with this to see what it would sound like you just need if if youre doing a constant recording and change constantly

  • Two questions . What are the best speakers to plug into your sound card to get the best sound using guitar rig. Also I have big jack input in my sound card so how do I plug in 5.1 speakers ???

  • On the line out on the soundcard :)

  • Very funny ..... But at least I got some response ....

  • Hey man. I did answer you not to make fun or anything. It really was to help out. Sorry if you thought other wise. Maybe I didn´t got your question? Sorry if that was the case. And yhea, I saw nobody answered and that was also why I tried to help.

  • Well I said that my line out was single big jack input ( standard one like we have on guitar and amps ) so how would I connect 5.1 speaker cables cause there are five of them and they are small jack inputs (just like on ear phones) into my LINE OUT ON THE SOUNDCARD ??? :D

    Thats my question :D

  • If I got it right, you have the 6.35 tsr (stereo) jack on your sound board? if so get an adapter 6.35mm to 3.5mm trs jack (I believe the conector that comes with your speakers) and you´re ready to rock. just trying to help;)

  • Yeah , thx . I have the adapter ( well its not the adapter but it does the service ) I even brought another one that allows me to put two 3.5mm jacks into one ... I guess that i shoul buy 6 of them so I put one and then in that one put 2 and in that 2 put 3 then i got 6 jack inputs . Hahahahahhaa . Thx anyway man !

  • That is one solution. Indeed i did not realise the 5.1 had all tha cables. I have a 2.1 system and it only has got one:). Diferent things. I do believe you idea is the way to go. There might be adapters with more "outline" outtakes but I´m not shure though. Maybe th 5.1 you are using is suitable for home audio systems with a back panel full off 3.5" outs:) Don´t know.

  • I do know there are many 5.1 configurations where all the signal path are routed into "one" main cable to the out plug on sound cards or stereo outputs. Maybe someone with more experience might help.

    See you around.

  • Hm didnt know that . I will keep that in mind though 2.1 solution might be just as great ..... Well thanks man , not many as you out there . See you ...

  • There should be more like me out there. Let´s see, what´s the point in creating web based platforms where people can exchange thoughts, ideas and knowledge, if noone participates;).

Relating the speakers, yhea, mine are 2.1 and only have a 3.5mm cable. And I´ve seen 5.1 on stores with all the signals combined in just this cable. As i said, yours must be more to the home audio entertainment systems. Look

  • for adapters, maybe you´ll find any.

I haven´t tried any software on the pc and with my speakers. Only Revalver, and with an old set of 2.0 one´s I have here. I got noise, noise!!:) I´ll have to see the onboard setings of my sound, but I am beating the onboard sucks for what i´m trying to achieve:).

But as you see there are many people who are kind of experimenting things with the six strings on the pc, so it is always great to exchange ideas. Count me in, anytime:)

  • Yeah , actually I was having problems with asio drivers in guitar rig 3 and my terratec phase x24 sound card so I had to play with directsound drivers . That way i was able to set my laptop speakers to produce sound and i was happy with that . When i figured out problem with ASIO i had no option of laptop speakers as output on routing in guitar rig so I have to buy good speakers / amp cabinet / monitors etc to plug them in my soundcard output ...

  • I do believe the 5.1 were good options, if with quality of course. Most of modern medium range speakers do the job just for practicing issues. If you want more, monitors are definetly the way to go.

Yesterday I told you about the noise problem with my onboard sound in Revalver. I went to get my Sound blaster live.5.1, conected it to my 2.0 speakers (which shuck:)) and the noise was almost gone.

  • The output power is nothing out of this world, but you can ear yourself play this way. And with the Asio drivers, the latency is almost noone:).

I´m going to get the 2.1 I have whenever I have the time to see how they work. I´ll tell you something after I´ve done so, if you are interested.

The Revalver from Alien Connection is great:) I still can´t save patches to the HD but, I´ll try again later. Have to try GR and Amplitube also.

    Having fun though;)

    See you around.

  • Yeah thats the usual progress . I first got the guitar rig . I had only integrated sound card thats crap and i had to plug my guitar in line in on laptop . Sound was awful. So much noice etc . Then i brought professional cable for guitar . That helped a bit with noise .

  • Next step was to buy great sound card . I spend so much on those that i could buy original rig kontrol :D . Now i think that i should buy good monitors ... or maybe good 2.1 (cheaper option :D).... Man try GR ... And tell me how Revalver sounded with your 2.1 !

  • The rig control is awesome. One thing at a time:).

I just experimented my 2.1. Have in mind that my sound card is a sound blaster live 5.1 (a rather old one now), but, despitte still producing noise, isn´t bad for practicing or even recording ideas. The 2.1 speakers are definely better than my other 2.0.

  • You feel like playing a real amp, specially if you cranck the volume knob up:) But if you want quality, go for monitors;) That is what I´m going to do. The 2.1 I have are the Creative I Triggue 3220, just so you have an idea. Good, but monitors must be something else:). That´s what I´ll do.

  • hahah hello dudo,it is a hell when I'm using Creative SoundBlaster(audigy 2040) ,solos are with off sound doesn't have effect(you can check it in my profile)it was my maximium effort,im using a ibanez rg370dx,the sound is very off,I guess I have to buy an external sound card thats better, right?anyways im using a old computer (ibm 2002 netvista)

  • Your my neigbor then;). maybe the lag is about your computer. Are you using the Asio drivers? Are you using Revalver from Alien Conections? You must have that into account. I do believe the audigy is better then mine(more recent) it should give you low latency. Mine does and I believe it´s older:)

But no doubt the M audio, Emu, Terratec are more to the prefessional aduio editing and recording.

  • I use Asio Driver,Revalver I have never used it (does its better?) ,my pc at 1.8 ghz and 1gb ram thats all, I play in live ableton thats ok..for recording, the sound is dead,i can u record a track for you,you will die after all if you listen it

  • I do believe you are mistaken the Asio drivers, which serve to optimize the audio on certain audio aplications and Revalver (a modulation software like guitar rig and others:) )

  • My pc as 2.4ghz cpu clock and 512 mb of ram, so your pc shoudn´t be an issue. Relating the gear if you wnat to record stuff just for listening and work on songs, the sound card and the guitar straight in, do the job. If you want a more professional sound, go for the DI/direct interface between the guitar and the sound card (toneport, a pre amp, even a multifx floor unit does the job;).

Relating the sound, yhea, I know, straight in, the noise is always there:)

  • Im going for M-Audio Delta 1010LT I hateusing this crappy sound I know ibanez is a good broad of guitar because I need record guitar tracks...I will study music academy I don't like spend around 2000 USD in Mesa Boogie or Marshal amplifiers and gibson guitar(very popular but I don't like it( thanks for help about monitors I knew them !

  • Ok. You´re welcome. Good gear you have and will have :)

    See you around.
