  • @elkkid2 I went to "The Los Angeles Free Press 60's Music" page, and they had the answer! Thank to all!

  • I'm goin to try to "Push" Elephant Memory...On Monday, on Facebook,(May 29th) I'll do this on "The Los Angeles Free Press 60's Music" page. I hope you'll be there!

  • Good gosh these guys were awesome! But why didn't they make it bigger than they did?! Was it the whole getting involved with John and Yoko thing that backfired on them and they didn't make it in their own right?!

  • Anybody know the chords for this one? I can't find 'em online...

  • Love it !!!!

Chuck n Bo would be nice ;-)

  • @microdot1 check my site, it's there - uploaded same time with this... ;)!

  • Could anyone do me a huge favor and post Pirate's Ball by elephant memory. I would be forever grateful.

  • Love this song!! My dad got me into them a couple weeks ago, he used to be friends with stan back in the 70's i think they lived together for a while too.

  • Wayne Tex Gabriel Played lead guitar.

    My daddy.

    R.I.P

  • @Ataia13 at what point did the guitarist Jon Sachs join the band?

  • @Ataia13 at what point did the guitarist Jon Sachs join the band?

  • @heidistevenson the line-up that recorded Angels Forever in 1974, was Stan Bronstein and Richard Frank, plus Gary Van Scyoc on bass, Chris Robison and Jon Sachs.

I's say that Jon Sacks joined in 1974!

  • @elkkid2 , think it's spelled "Sachs" (according to wiki.)

  • R.I.P Daddy.

The best guitar player I've ever known.

    Love you....

  • @Ataia13 Ataia, don't know when your daddy passed away, but I'm expressing my condolences - he really was a great guitar player ; one of those reasons, why I loved this band so much.

  • @cojwat Thank you that would mean so much to him, He passed just last week, he had a disease called CJD.

  • @Ataia13

Oh yes , a fantastic album and i have had it in my collection since it was released.

  • The greatest New York City Band!!!

I have all albums. Wonderfull music!

  • Wayne "Tex" Gabriel played on lead guitar!!!

    Not John Lennon.

  • Sorry, that's the Elephant's Memory guitarist playing lead. Lennon simply wasn't capable of playing lead guitar at this level. Lennon was a passable rhythm guitarist whose soloing skills were limited.

  • @pootnroot Thank you, very interesting. My information is based on album cover, but when I now read it again, it says only " guitar John Lennon"- not which guitar. And it's sure there is also Wayne "Tex" Gabriel playing. So it's more than possible that your information is right !

I'll now listen both same session albums, this and " Some time in New York City" again with "new ears".

  • Who does the lead guitar here? I had read it was Lennon himself.

  • @TheFattuchus You are right, it's John Lennon.
