I can't believe these 2 teams don't play each other anymore. I hope they resume their series. Maybe a season opener in Atlanta's Georgia Dome in the future?
@SECarolina1996 If you're going to hate (which i have no issue with) at least make it factual and not just BS. UGA backed out of the rivalry when we were willing to keep it going. They claimed having us every year along with GT and their conference schedule, was too tough a schedule to do every single year. So we were dropped and they kept instate rival GT
I was at this game sitting on the 45 yard line (back when I could call the local radio station and get tickets like that.) UGA had this game won until that moron, Jackson, literally dropped the ball carrying it like a bread loaf inside the 10. I also remember the Clemson fans threw packs of firecrackers at the UGA player (Lars Tate, I think) when UGA first scored. That was something I had never seen before.
That was my first fall at UGA - I remember how hot it had been in the summer - like a drought - they were talking about closing down the school for summer at one point because of the heat and also for water conservation.
@TMC1982Part2 I briefly remembered seeing that logo on a video leading to a WISN newsbreak from 1985. Doesn't seem like that logo was used long before giving way to the logo with "Sports" in the same font as the ABC logo.
Somehow, I'm thinking that this Kenny Flowers of Clemson was the C.J. Spiller of his day. He certainly looked like it.
