Late I realize but ....She Loves You, Blackbird, Yesterday, I'll Follow the Sun, Let it Be, Get Back, Hey Jude, Penny Lane, Hello Goodbye... if anything it is equal or leaning toward Macca
All 4are excellent musicians,John a one of a kind lyricist, master wordsmith as was his mother who encouraged him with the quarrymen,an imagination like no other,Paul is simply genius,George could play anything with strings at 12, and his strong spirituality contributed in a major way. He didnt have the desire/instinct to make money ("I did not want to be a star, I just wanted to play the guitar")Ringo's personality made it all work.Together the chemistry made the BEST MONSTER BAND OF ALL TIME!
I bought one stereo remaster and I gotta say is a bit disappointing, cause you know, the vocals are heard in one side and music in the other one, every song feels kinda empty like that, kudos for mono remasters:)
The mono mixes are superior because the Beatles personally over saw the mixing process. Paul said "if you haven't heard sgt. peppers in mono you haven't heard sgt peppers.
I cannot pic a favorite song myself, but I must say this song is defintely almost it. The genius of it is unlike any other. If you actually break down the chords to this song the "in her eyes you see nothing" part is the most haunting little chord progression. And paul sings such horrible lyrics so hapily and cheerfully. DARK irony is used in this song. Paul Amazes me unlike any other musician. I love all the beatles but as far as a simple song. Like as far as "classics", paul mccartney was best
@demonsbutterfly I agree I can't decide myself. The beauty of their catalog is that it is so vast. Some songs you once under appreciated will eventually grow on you. I've become that way with The Inner Light, Strawberry Fields, and Rain. I simply don't have a fav track.
@Saternoc I love Revolution 9!!! Toss up between 64 and Long & Winding Road..Although the Remastered Let it Be makes Long & Winding Road SO MUCH BETTER!!!
I have the mono Box and the Remaining Stereo's...They are just wonderful. Well worth the 4 years work.

Paul is one of the greatest ever for harmonies. Also as lead vocal, of course, that goes without saying.
Thanks so much for posting these Mono versions. They are the BEST.

this is one of the great, under-rated rockers the Beatles ever did...and the remastering-- both MONO and STEREO-- is supurb. Really comes to life!
