@NeonBlonde1138 (Late Reply I know) The swords require a certain ammount of hearts before you can obtain them. White Sword requires 5 or more hearts to get.

If one wanted to spend enough time with prep work, this is what you could potentially have before going in to Level 1: 6 Hearts (3 you start with and 3 out of the 5 in overworld), White Sword, Magic Shield, Blue Candle, Bombs, Blue Ring (take 1/2 damage), Arrows (for the bow you get in Level 1), Enemy Bait, Letter to Old Woman / Red Potion, Power Bracelet. May have missed a couple but not sure. Earliest you can get Magic Sword is just prior to going into level 5.

They've shouldve had more original bosses...because we fight the same aquamentus in 7/and a slightly upgraded 4faced gleeok..and quest 2 shouldve had new bosses..

also the power bracelet(A bit of a trek but worth it),letter,potions,Magical shield,food(bait),and Blue candle Lol...for completion's sake...

P.s. Fight the moblins or blue octoroks to earn free Bombs...and save the two 100 secrets for later if you didnt already get the blue ring via that strategy

It's the only way I start my Zelda adventures. Get all the "take any one you want" heart containers and get the second sword. You can also get the 2 "it's a secret to everybody" 100 rupee rewards and get the blue ring before level 1 as well.

Ok, something is weird, the graphics look slightly better than the original and it looks like you used an emulator with a sound enhancer, what program did you use?

My guess:

He muted the sound channels in the game that have the beats to the music, and replaced them with a midi soundtrack of the over world theme and stuff, and the graphics look good because he used bi linear filtering to smooth the graphics of the game.

figgy, the reason he gets the hearts is because you need 5 hearts to get the White Sword

Lol, I never got the wooden sword :-) Right now I'm at the end of Level 4 without any sword period - been using just arrows, bombs, boomerang, and candle to fight enemies off.

Very nice video, btw! Very clean synch between audio and video - gotta love this game!
