I never understoodwhy this cartoon was so popular... it has no real story. Though it does have some nice animated moments, horse looked very realistic.

i love them all, by the way, but still, they mostly are about finding friends and the story goes: Somebody meets someone, they become friends. sometimes there´s someone who tries to set up an intrigue. they integrate him into the group and now they´re all friends. the end. (still love it!)

A wonderful, beautiful film. No doubt one of the greatest pieces of animation ever created. It carries a strong sense of nostalgia for me, as I recall watching this (sans-subtitles) as a young child. Its apparent simplicity and elegance only give way to a much deeper sense of mystery, pastoral beauty and poignance upon repeated viewings. Norshteyn is truly a master.
The cartoon is so phylosophic. You don't notice it after the 1st time, but afterwards, after watching several times, you notice some simple details... hard to explain )
I love the texture of the hedgehog, the owl, the dog's ears... everything! It is a sweet, funny, beautiful cartoon! The animation was way ahead of it's time for something made in 1975! Oh and the hedgehog's voice is so cute... it reminds my of my nephew's when he was little. :-)
when we were children , we wished to have an adventure like the one with the hedgehog . magical yet terrifying . beautiful yet strange . hedgehog in the fog teaches us to appreciate beauty and respect wild life . its simply a dazzling experience of childhood memories and an unforgettable imagination of a fantasy world .
I guess some people "missed" the like button... This film is brilliant in so many levels... I have watched a million times and it always surprises me :)
