Played around with psx4droid for a while and just ran into a ton of problem. I recommend ePSE instead.... Much higher compatibility. Message me if anyone has any questions about Emulators on here... I'll help if I can.

The reason I think the Droid X freezes is because the memory RAM is not used efficiently. There is so much bloatware on the phone because the manufacturer's were greedy, a good design was ruined by software starting up that I don't even use. Software I don't use is 1) voice commands 2) Block Buster Video 3) Amazon.com 4) City ID 5) VZ Navigator 6) DLNA 7) Kindle 8) Madden NFL 11 9) Navigation 10) Help Center, all of which start when I don't need them. I use my phone for business

you don't need advanced task killer on android 2.2...it has it already built in. task killers actually use MORE battery life killing apps and running in the background than the built in android 2.2 one. Just a tip

@ShaQ1nJ NP, Just more heat from the cpu that can shorten it's life, but nothing you should worry about unless you are doing extreme overclocking and voltage increase.

Since the x has a better gcpu than the droid 2 would that mean the performance would be better on the x over the droid 2? or would it really not matter

@Shredward009 I pretty sure they have the same gpu and cpu. PSX4Droid is run off of cpu and gpu does not matter. So I would think they the same performance.

To make it use the gpu would require much more time coding the program. This can lead to more bug and even less performance in some cases. Otherwise yes it would increase performance.

I can't get CTR to work.. it crashes at the Sony Computer Entertainment America Presents screen.. I tried a couple of different roms and even tried patching the roms but no success..

me thinks your droid x needs a firmware update to 2.2 unless its already using 2.2 if it is then the droid x is not that good unless 3.0 fixes that frame rate issue with GT1.
