The earliest surviving language still spoken by Thracians is Romanian. So if you feel thracian maybe you should all learn Romanian since the original thracian language was lost and the slavic languages formed 600 years after the last Roman conquest of Thracian land. @onoaptelunga ... of course the focus is always on the romans and not on the more ancient history, because the Dacian culture was destroyed by Trajan and so from that moment the Dacians become the Romanians and they are a conquered people... they are always interested in exploring their connection to the conquerors than to their roots, or else they would be best friends with Albanians. even the name of their capital "Bucuresti" has no meaning to them, but it means "beautiful city" in Albanian.

Interesant video. Păcat că rădăcinile noastre dacice sînt neglijate şi uitate. Dacii/ tracii trebuie să fi fost o civilizaţie fascinantă, prea puţin cunoscută pt că e deliberat neglijată. I believe there was an eastern branch of Thracians also, found in the language called Gilaki named likely from Gilak, a son of Tiras. This name is still found in the southern Caspian region, and was adjacent to the Medes, Madai, Aria...also related to Tiras....
