Awesome, because of these videos i am buying The 5th Anniversary edition of Oblivion as i sold my old copy. A question though, do you spend a lot of time playing video game in general or is it more of a elder scrolls - fallout obsession? My studies don't allow me to play much video games but i still love the elder scrolls and fallout NV
ohh and my character is a battlemage, so this is coming from someone that used to spend tons of gold on buying nice enchanted stuff and spending like 2,000 gold per grand soul gem when enchanting themselves, easily spending 10-20 thousand in the process on gems/items, only difference is in oblivion, you'd shit yourself, skyrim on the other hand, at 100 alchemy, you could make that back in like 6 fortify sneak potions, hell, killing a dragon can make you about 1-2k alone, and they are EVERYWHERE
i have a character in skyrim that is only lvl40 and i could buy every house in the game if i wanted (i like whiterun's house, right there at the gate :)) and still have around 100,000 gold left, and that is just from adventuring, doing the random dungeon run or hitting a dwemer ruin nets you a ton of gold, that's my only downside about skyrim, gold was a joke to get, while in oblivion, you'd be rich if you had like 30,000, skyrim on the other hand you could spend that much in a single trade

I think mages in Oblivion are like the opposite of vampires. Instead of helping in the beginning and biting you in the ass later, they are reversed. At first (If you role play and use only magic) You can't open locks well, you can't kill very easily, and you almost have to use strong weapons as if you weren't playing a mage at all. But later you can open any lock unless it's "needs a key", you can summon full suits of armor, you can make people like as a god, and much, much more.
Link, have you played Dark Souls? If so you should really do a Let's Play for it, I think a lot of your subscribers (including me :P) would love it, even if some haven't even heard of the game. IF you haven't played it, you really should, it is very challenging and rewarding.

I don't get why people struggle with the oblivion lockpicking mini game. It's so much easier than the one introduced in fallout 3, you can pick any level lock reliably without even breaking a pick if you're good, just by listening to the sound the tumblers make. I don't like the guess work in the new system meaning you will almost always break at least one pick.
Will, do you voice-over after you play the playthrough, or is it all live? I didnt watch all of the first video, but the others have random points where you repeat yourself a couple of times lol
I made a vow to always shout "NIRNROOT!" whenever I found one while playing Oblivion back when I first started the game... I still do it when I play it.
picture me in the middle of the night back when I was around 14-15 yelling NIRNROOT when everyone was sleeping in my house.
you should do a lets play for specific classes, what they require, how they work, and the costliness for them. also show in your videos how its effective in combat and the overall outcome of these classes. Show us anything tips and tricks you pick up and most of all... "is it worth the effort?"
Example classes
"warrior" pure melee
"mage" Pure Magic
"rogue" pure stealth
"spellsword" Magic and Melee
"acrobat" Stealth and Magic
List goes on. But I want to see what you come up with. :)

one thing i loved about oblivion is the huge alchemy system, altho some things i still dident know i gathered most knowlege by trial and error, many times i thought i would just read up about it but i never did. theres 1 thing i need to ask you, do you prefer making restorative potion's or poison's? i always liked making the most efective potion, but it never beets a potison that instantly killed an enemy with a poisoned arrow, or one that did killed them as they ran towards you.

I dont know why but I absolutley adored morrowind but when Oblivion came out, for some reason I couldnt play that game. It wasnt appealing for me to play it. However I remember that I enjoyed watching my younger brother playing it all the time all day long and wasn't bored at all with it. This gameplay reminds me of good ol' days :)
