  • first down?

  • ballsy

  • good play by the QB to make an accurate throw under pressure. thats what i saw

  • Petros!!!!!

  • Who is WSU? We've never heard of that team down here in the SEC.

  • @auriggs lol.. u got that right!! so what it is, like 5 or 6 years in a row that a SEC team has gone to the National Title?

  • @Samson163 This is the 5th year in a row that an SEC team has gotten the chance to win it.. and coincidentally the SEC has won it all four of the last four opportunities..

  • @auriggs Of course you haven't. That's because you never travel outside your region to play quality opponents out of conference.

  • @gfry59 what do you call oregon

  • @auriggs SEC owns all confrences

  • @dgoss90 do you mean that in the literal sense of the fact they pay their players?

  • @awoit8410 nononono no disrespect to the other confrences but in my opinion the SEC is the most dominate conference in the NCAA

  • lol@chanse301.. He did his job by smashing the center and making it a lil easier to get to the qb who was lucky enough to get away.. and lol @ holding ground n blocking maualuga "perfectly" maualuga is an animal you're lucky if you even block him at all.. So yeah holding would be any linemans best bet..lmao

  • damn 3 td'sin the 1st quarter

  • Surely yall aren't serious. ill say oregon, stanford, and washington are good. Did USC beat them? I know Oregon beat USC, but im not sure about the other two. All the other PAC 10 teams are nothing to fuss about

  • how is this in anyway insulting to wsu? stop it your hurting my feelings because you posted a video of our team making a first down! boo-hoo!

  • The guy that posted this IS FUCKING STUPID!

  • @buchs05 the center also grabbed his jersey and pulled him down cuz he culdnt do anything else

  • center stopped him and the offense got the first down...

  • ah i feel bad for the cougs.. idk how many of you have been to pullman, WA but if you went you'd see why its so hard to recruit any kind of talent. They keep battling though, you gotta hand them that.

  • PAC 10 football is the toughest !

  • Love how USC has the weakest conference out of all the fbs powerhouses

  • @RedsBucksSteelers they are in one of the toughest conferences. you must not see the scores correctly.

  • @RedsBucksSteelers they are in one of the toughest conferences. you must not see the scores correctly.

  • @RedsBucksSteelers PAC-10 is THE toughest SEC is overrated because espn sucks their dick all day

  • @RedsBucksSteelers

    No they don't. Stop trolling.

  • God I love your Youtube name.

  • notice how no one talked about rey mauluga because he did nothing to effect the play

  • when the showed the stands....did u see the guy in the white backwards hat say "watch rey maualuga"

  • @elonfootball73

how do you catch stuff like that? jeez.

  • But Washington State's reciever owned USC's cornerback, so.....

  • @GarshardJeVard nice

  • if you dont know football then it looks like mauluga won that but the center did his job..he may have got his ass kicked but he took mauluga down with him

  • vontaze burfict did a better one of these. he ran over him and didnt fall over. and hes just a freshman.

  • woah! wait a minute......did wsu get a 1st down? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING USC! haha

  • ha. went to the only game wsu won. against a team litterally you can say. MSU WHO?

  • LOL even if its washington state, its sad a lineman got owned by a linebacker.

  • what a pussy hit the center wasnt even looking. maualuga always hits the most defenseless guys.

  • @luvjb95 yeah he was looking, hes looking dead at him... and uncovered offensive lineman especially centers always look at the field and read the play. thats their job! and he was mirroring rey. come on dude.

  • @luvjb95 dude it football you can hit whoever you want. the centers job is to block he should be expecting to get hit on every play

  • 1: its washington state ( fuck those herpe whores, go UDUB!!!)

2: they got a first down....

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! At first I was like wait Rey wasn't in there but then I had to look closer AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • FUCK U!!!!! GO COUGS!!!!

  • Washington State would lose to Duke.

  • he made 69 his bitch

  • dude the center meant to roll down cuz he knew it was a quick pass. watch he grabbs on to the nose tackles pads and rolls backwards

  • @bonerflopsack watch this vid again the center didnt touch a "nose tackle" rey maualuga is a ml as far a thee rolling back idk. to me it looks like rey just steam rolled his ass

  • @bbizzy89 no i dnt believe that

  • @bonerflopsack what? have you ever played football? have you ever watched a game on tv? the center blocks either for runs or he pass blocks, he hits someone on every play

  • Uh, first down. Who cares what happened to the center.

  • How do you know whether I played Football or not? I did play, But that's not important. You can interpret what was done 2 or 3 different ways. How do you think the center didn't do his job? Did the pass get completed?

The problem out here on Youtube is that there are to many "Arm Chair" Football players. Oh, That's right........I forgot. You have College and Professional experience.

  • straight up laid him OUT

  • Owned the Center? I beg to differ with you. If you look closely you will see that the Center does indeed get knocked over but on this particular play he keeps his man from getting to the Quarterback on a passing play.

If I'm an Offensive Lineman, I have to know this. What is my purpose? Isn't it to protect the Quarterback, and provide running room for either the Fullback, or Tailback (depending on the type of formation that is used) OK, So he knocks me over

But he doesn't get to the QB, Does he?

  • @Ma007rk If you have played football you would know what you just said is stupid. When you blitz your not ment to get everyone you blitz to the QB. Rey takes out the center allowing #6 a free lane to the QB. Rey owned the center and the center didnt do his job.

  • @Ma007rk umm im pretty shure he took out the center so the other linebacker could get in there untouched. its called a smart play on the linebackers part..i would know im a middle linebacker myself:)

  • @Irishswimmer33

I was never a Middle Linebacker, so I can't argue that point with you.

  • @Ma007rk he acutally owned tne center by knocking his ass down but he couldnt get the qb cause if you look center grab onto his pads which caused maluga to fall forward as well. and even if he did knock the center down he wouldnt have reach the qb becuase its a quick fast (thats what my coach calls that kind of pass) and his also in shotgun...

doesnt matter the center should have hold his ground and block maulga perfectly

  • playing center is pretty hard snapping the ball and getting your hands back up to block a LB running at you at full speed.

  • And....?

  • thats really not an accomplishment laying out a guy who is standing still.... Maualuga is 245 and running full speed...

  • I like seeing WSU get owned. :D

  • O.O........damn

  • im not trying to discredit maualuga but he didnt really "own" the center. he might have ran over him but they both fell down. the center did his job by taking maualuga out of the play. it is great strength though by maualuga

  • @34andrew34 Thats a defensive stunt. The center got taken out to free up the LB coming up the middle and he did.

  • Rey is doing ok in the NFL. Clay and Brian also from USC are doing better......Hopefully Rey gets a hang of things soon

  • It's Washington State who cares?

  • @Deckloaded lol kinda sad... i live 45 minutes away from WSU and... i don't really give a fuck haha

  • ohh

  • Do you realize that is a win for the center? Maualuga did nothing useful on that play. So what if the center ended up on his back, the LB wasn't yet up on hands and knees when the pass was thrown?

  • yea these ppl dont know football, and he didnt even get hit all that hard

  • actually what he did was very useful. He opened up a huge hole in the O-line that gave the other MLB a straight shot at the QB. It was a smart play, the QB just got it off in time.

  • do you realize the video is called Rey owning the center in which it shows rey knocking him on his ass...doesnt say anything about who won

  • he actually cleared a path for smith, sooo the center didnt really win

  • What are you talking about? It was a stunt designed to open up for Malcom Smith.

  • Wrong. It was a twist. Further, the center cannot be expected to block two blitzers.

  • Comment removed

  • way to go Sanchez. Good hit.

    Go Jets!!

  • crazy no. 6 sanchez plays both offense and defense

  • actually on defense its malcolm smith

  • haahhahahahahahahahahahaha

  • ahahhah fuck wsu sucks

  • fuck i love when i get contact like that on my team

  • Gain

  • OMG OWNEGE

  • maualuga still didnt put pressure on the QB lol.. and they got a nice gain.

  • you obviously dont know the concept of a defense in football. some players are meant to take a block and fill a gap esp on a blitz so another player can have an open lane, which malcolm smith had because he destroyed the center. it was just a smart read by the qb to get rid of the ball quickly. it wasnt maualugas job to pressure the qb on that play.

  • I wasnt aware that you knew the assignments of every player on the football field. Are you their defensive coordinator? Your the smartest guy i've ever met. Damn i wish i was as smart as your dumb ass.... You obviously dont know the concept of offense in football. They got the first down. Maualugas hit didnt effect Malcom Smith because even if Maualuga got pancacked, smith was unblocked. Its not the centers fault whatsoever. FIRST DOWN. I bet their O-coordinator was happy after that one.

  • okay you are an idiot. i never said it was the centers fault whatsoever. and even if rey did get pancaked, he did his job which was to take on the fill his gap and take the block to let malcolm smith go free. how do i know this? because he was the first to take on the lineman TO FREE THE GAP for malcolm's DELAYED blitz. how do i know rey wasnt supposed to go free? because he was the 4th man on a 3 man front, sending 4 to the line which is traditional for non-blitzes.

  • oh and just to let you know, I never claimed wsu did NOT make a great play. like i said, the qb made a great hot read for 1st down. but thats not what this is about at all. so i dont even see why you bring up what the o is supposed to do. and anyway, they sent 5 and only 4 were blocked. there are 5 lineman, reys rush created havoc and assignment confusion that the right guard blocked invisible spirits on a blitz. i'm sure the o-coordinator had something to say about THAT in the film room.

  • i'm sure he congratulated his offense for moving the chains. rey malauga got blocked... the play would have been no different if rey got pancaked. the offense did a great job and the defense failed.

  • you have obviously never played for a football program with a sensible coach. youre so dumb nobody is arguing if the play was successful or not. and no, the coordinator would not congratulate the offense for moving the chains. he would congratulate the qb and the receiver who made a great play out of terrible blocking execution. you know nothing about coaches and how they evaluate plays/film. no coach EVER wants to see a LB running full-steam at their qb untouched. NONE. end of story.

  • When your quaterback gets the ball out then your coach will be happy, because that means all that pass rush was for nothing. the QB showed poise in the pocket and when he saw his center get popped he got rid of it. First down. Move the chains boys we got a fresh set of downs!

  • okay im done talking to you, you have no capability in understanding anything. you have no understanding in the concept of evaluating game film. i hope to God you never try to teach the game of football to other people. you taint the craft of this sport.

  • ok your admitting defeat. i understand. you put in good effort tho. gratz.

First down baby! move the chains!

  • ur stupid... he wasnt admitting defeat, and 9 times out of 10, that play will work, they just happened to run the perfect play against it, there are few ways to counter that and almost every QB, even that QB will throw and duck because that is nature, he just had a deep drop, a 3-step drop would not work there because he would get hit before he could react... pefect blitz, better play, Rey did what he had to in order for their play to work, other team just got lucky, thats it.

  • exactly. Its not a win for the defense, but 75% of the time that would be enough to force an incomplete pass.

  • oh my god.

  • kinda sucks i have been keepin up on all the usc seniors that now play for the nfl and rey when he played the pats hurt the same knee he hurt during the osu game shit i hope its not goign to effect his future.

  • hes the best

  • kobeisbatman you think the best highschool teams in america could beat last years wsu team? .... lol i mean they sucked bad no wonder no one has respect for the pac 10 we had a team go 0-12 and a team go 2-10 just no reason for that

  • Fuck USC...OSU is gonna beat dat ass in the shoe

  • oregon state?

    hahaha

    faggot

  • He was talking about Ohio State. Dumbass why did you think he said the shoe?

    hahaha

    faggot

You make USC fans look bad.

  • are you serious?! NAVY ALMOST "BEAT DAT ASS" IN THE SHOE!!!!!! NAVY!!!!! the only reason you guys won was cause the qb threw a pick on the 2pt conv!!!!!! navy was supposed to be a cupcake game that was supposed to help osu pad the stats. instead they look like garbage this year. dont feel too bad when usc destroys you

  • damn right USC is going to lose to the Buckeyes!!! oh wait, what's that? Trojans won? oh haha Fuck you and fuck Ohio State

  • i remember watching this game, it was beyond pathetic, WSU looked worse than some high school teams out there, USC wasn't even thinking about trying and they peeded on them. i have absolutely no idea how one of the worst teams i had ever seen in WSU beat UW later in the season.

  • people who dont really know football that was a stunt for malcom smith. which means he pretty much has to lay out somebody to open up a hole for somebody to go through

  • everyone that thinks that the center did a good job is an idiot!!

  • im pretty sure his man didnt get to the qb

  • Nice play by the center by getting pancake by the defense....

  • Nice play by the center actually

  • in the end the center did his job and took his guy out of the play. although it wasnt the best looking tactic it was effective

  • Comment removed

  • for what madden

  • no, you suck.

  • Thats a defensive stunt, Rey was supposed to take out the center. Clears the way for the other linebacker.

  • You guys are idiots, the center completely took him out of the play, he did his job well.

  • Watch after he takes the center out of the play, look who follows with the pressure.

You're an idiot, because Maualuga did his job WELL

  • Fuck Rey laid his ass out!

  • wow he owned him, not at all, he was in no position to make a play

  • it was a stunt for malcom smith

  • I'm a WSU fan, I wasn't too happy about the cougars playing. it was a 69-0 loss :'(

  • hahah 69

  • i played center....it looks bad but if u see the center does a GREAT job at getting his hands in the pads of #58 and falling back with him.

  • i play right tackle and i am the backup Center, it is a tough Position and he did his job cause Maualuga was on the ground too and the pass was complete. Blitzing Linebackers have their speed and are tougher to block than D-Lineman. I play in Germany.

  • It is really hard being a center, you have to have quick release of the ball, then you have to have quick arms to block. Also WSU completed the pass, so i dont really get why this video was made.

  • Kenny Alfred is WSU's best lineman, but ray is a beast. Besides, the block worked and wsu somehow completed a pass. This was the biggest joke of a football game I have ever had the displeasure of sitting through. I have never seen one team be so dominant over another in a football game, even in high school. This was pretty much the absolute lowest point of the season, a season which had quite a few lows.

  • ¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨ Keep it goin

¨°º¤ø„¸ WHO „ø¤º°¨ post on every

    ¸„ø¤º°¨DEY ``°º¤ø„¸ football highlight

    ¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º GO BENGALS !

  • I was at that game!! And WSU Got murdered!!

  • haha wsu sucked last year so yea...its not that surprising, it was more of a practice game for usc..

  • id go for holding on that

  • The Center pulled him down by the jersey.... a little dirty trick for blitzing defenders.

  • Thats offensive holding there wsu

  • haha most guys that play line would know that its not easy to sit there while a guy is gona bull rush you..9 out of 10 times the guys gona be on his butt...unless hes got like 200 pounds on the guy, and is a freakish athlete

  • haha like 75% full speed rush is hard to stop. it's like a train at a brick wall haha.

  • you got that right. I play nose tackle and withoput a running start I can run over some centers. So imagine a large enough linebacker barreling down with all that speed. Just what you saw is what is gonna happen 90% of the time unless the factors you mentioned are there. People have no clue how good a football player a center has to be. They think all he has to do is be fat and block.

  • yea...and nothing on ray..hes good and all, but that would of happened with anyother linebacker, or maybe safty thats a beast...and yea most people think they know what their talking about but dont, and if they accually did play football they would know that its not easy..

  • I completely disagree. I was an all league fullback AND defensive end in highschool. As a defensive end I had to take on pulling guards who hit me from the side and there are techniques to deal with it. Similarly, in pass protection people would get running starts on me and I would pick them up no problem.

Does the running start help? Yes. But remember that the center outweighs Maualuga by probably 50 lbs.

  • Yes what you described is true. But as a fullback you shuold remeber than in the middle it's usually the quickness game. AND as a fullback it was your job to take on anything blitzing into any hole or position a pulling guard might have left. Lik ninjiAssassins said taking nothing away from Ray but with enough power in your run you can run a dude over. Technique and skill are something different. Yes skill would have helped this center, but that confrontation was head on collision.

  • Oh and big ups on being All Leage and playing two ways. Thats real Iron-Man football right there.

  • Bahamianbully you are trying to act like you know a lot about football. First of all you spelled his name wrong its Rey not Ray. Sounds like you got your dick knocked in the dirt a lot because you couldn't spell simple words like league. Oh and if you think I didn't play football I played 4 years in highschool, started 2 of them. Ha maybe your just naturally stupid. Give credit where credit is due, Rey did a great job and the Center got smacked in the kisser.

  • Selvester777. Spelling errors are bound to happen whe your doing this commenting stuff. I make spelling errors. Sue me. Ray is incredible. Never said he wasnt. I actually was pissed he did not go higher in the draft. He's THE LB of this years draft to me. I like that you've played 4 years of football in high school, BUT. It seems you still have the attitude of a 15yr old jerking himself off. I if I rubbed you the wrong way cuz you like Ray that much Fuck You. It's my opinion, asshole.

  • Besides. I have already had someone disagree with me and we had a sensible discussion. However a fuckshot like yourself felt the need to insult me. I do not know if it was to make yourself feel better or what, but your inept stupidity shines through. Having the nerve to call me stupid because we have differing opinions. Opinions are like assholes everyone has them. You however are a complete %100 Opinion. And the only time my dick was in the dirt was when it was in your mom's mouth. Smoke that.

  • The center did his job. he blocked his man. If you played four years of football then you should know that if you play O-line and you arent on the ground much your not doin a good job. you should also see that Rey has a full head of steam comin in and the center is just pass blockin. Just out of curiousity what position did you play?

  • +1. Center is the most difficult position in football. especially against a 3-4. Every true quaterback will tell you that its a good feelin when you got a smart bigman in front of you keepin them nasty linebackers off their ass.

  • Smart commentary. I forget sometimes it IS the centres job to block and sometimes that means being on his ass. Alot.

  • You asked what position I played in High School. I played started WR and played a little DB.

  • i played right tackle for my youth team last year, and this year going to my university team i was moved to center, and ill admit its a tough position to play. u have to make sure the snap gets off quickly but efficiently, as well as remember when to snap, and look to see who to block, the smarter you are, the better you are at center. BTW i play in the UK incase you ask what uni i am at lol

  • Good job on the center's part taking Maualuga out of the play.

  • what are you talking about, Looks to me like a designed play for Maualuga to take out the OC so the safety (Taylor Mays) can get the delay sack on the QB

  • HA!! who cares, they still had a 10 yard gain..that shit dont mean nothing if he didnt get the sack..lol..

  • wasn't Mays

  • It was Malcolm Smith (Steve Smith's little brother) coming in on the blitz. He'll be a household name by the end of 2009.

  • wow are u retarded? learn some football before u speak. that is another linebacker who rushed in. not your buddy taylor mays the safety 10 yards back.

  • agree with chazzjazz except it wasnt taylor mays. its a good job by maualuga not the center...bet the center didnt even know what the hell happened.

  • man this was a terrible year for cougar football, but hey, they were better than the huskies!! and thats all that matters

  • godang

  • Pac 10 refs really do suck. Great screen name.

  • i agree! worst officials in the country! they always try to inject themselves in the game instead of just letting it be played

  • I heard you played a little baseball today , Chris !!!!!!!

  • malcom smith should be a good one the next few years ..

  • no manti te'o..he goin to SC

  • I went to the same high school at the same time as kenny alfred and he runs shit. He's also one of the most stand up guys you will ever meet. Especially in track and field. He will go pro no doubt.

  • The center actually did his job and took Maualuga out of the play. Looked like he got owned on the play but the only thing that matters is the result.

  • It's actually illegal as a lineman to take the defender down with yourself in that fashion... he obviously didn't try to because he got fucked up.

  • jpete shut the fuck up if you dont know

  • How is that illegal for the lineman? The defender tackled the center, the center did not pull him down.

  • No he was saying it is illegal to pull a defener down with yourself as u fall. This guy, however, did not do that he just got tackled himmself. The tride1 guy is just stupid

  • hey bohica, maybe you should ref some ncaa football

  • to funny jpete. shut the fuck up if you dont know....

  • I see you had to reply twice, don't know how to post comments on here so you need two tries? Idiot.

  • jpete i thought it wouldn't register with you the first time. so to make sure your dumb ass got the message i post it twice BBBBIIIIAAATTTCHHH... again BBBBBIIIAAAATTTCCHH..lol..lol
