I play both games for very different reasons, and theyr'e both great. I definitely play INS far more than COD4.

Yes Insurgency is cheap... it's fucking free :-P, but the core gameplay is top notch.

It doesn't have a badass SP campaign, multiple multiplayer modes, perks, or any of that stuff that's meant to appeal to the masses.

INS is core. You, a gun, 1 or 2 shot kills, unique objective gameplay. You see a lot less useless noobs in the INS hubs.

Whats genuine about INS it requires teamwork if you want to win, and it shines what war is really like out there. Call of duty 4 is nothing like real war AT ALL

-ACTUALLY- I heard of a lot of people who were stoked about Modern Warfare coming out but once it did they went back to playing Insurgency until someone made a realism mod for Modern Warfare. Out of all of the fps games I've played through out my life I definitely think Insurgency is one of the most realistic.

I'm not working on it personally, but some of our members of DBD are workign on the mod "Vietnam Source" and i believe they could use more modelers, and i dont believe we have any animators.

To be clear, the objective of this video wasn't to display skill, but to advertise the patch our clan made. Most of the content, such as the gun models and sights, were not made by DBD members, but other members of the INS community.

We NEVER use the patch it in Clan matches, that would be cheating, i agree.

Our clan is now developing the "Vietnam Source" mod

Feel free to play INS on our server, if you're one of these "good players" i should be taking out ;-).

oh, and by the way. The Red dot sight, no longer works.

The patch is now simply different uniforms, more realistic voices, G36 instead of M4, and a couple of other skins.

Don't be offended, this patch was simply a work of the DBD and INS communities, trying to keep the gameplay "fresh" for their members.

Mod Communities love customization ;-)

Well many of them aren't even in use anymore, as the latest release of INS eliminated the use of many custom models.

We do have a credits section, and Thomson made an effort to seek out their approval before using their work.

You must be really, really fucking dumb then. Read the fucking websites, the beta started in June 2007, adn that's when everyone really started playing it.

That was well over a year ago, and there were plenty of other releases prior to this. You probably just pay attention to "steam releases" which is why you think it's only bene out for months.

Steam does not own, or control this mod, they just made in mainstream in november.
