In Israel only same faith groups or non- faith can get married in the state and its recognised. Different faith groups can get married outside of the state and its recognised in the state. Thought you would like to know about the latest US Department's report about Israel and its "democracy". It doesn't make pretty reading! Israel dismally fails the requirements of a tolerant pluralistic society according to the report. Israel discriminates against groups including Muslims, Jehova's Witnesses, Reform Jews, Christians, women and Bedouin. 300,000 immigrants are not considered "Jewish" under rabbinical law cannot marry or divorce even be buried. Some democracy!

If you mother isn't Jewish then you aren't considered a Jews, tough shit but that religion for you and that's why I'm glad Israel is a state founded on secular principles. Its an example of religious freedom in the Middle-East. The ONLY country in the Middle-East in which the Christian population is rising. Islam a "religion" which has the death penalty for apostasy.
When you find a religion that has no laws/rules let me know. The way to talk one would think Judaism is unique LOL.
