Look after spending dat much on a quad core n 4 gigs of ram anyone can expect such type of multi tasking. Moreover u r indirectly boasting up ur components rather dan testing d OS.
nice pc, im upgrading to vista soon, my specs are q6600 cpu @ 2.4ghz, bfg 8800 gts oc, 4 gb of reaper x ram , lanparty dk x 38 dark series, 620 w power supply, and 320 gb hardisk. i will run windows vista fine right? and im upgrading to windows vista home premium.
Nice setup you got there. My PC runs much the same. Only I have 8GB of RAM and my Q6600 is overclocked to 3.6 GHz. Also I have an nVidia 280 now. Awesome video though.
Nice. I upgraded to 8GB of RAM myself a few months ago and I could probably have all of this running in the background now and play Crysis with no delays. :) Thanks for the comment.
People who don't have 4GB of RAM and RAID 10 hard drives? First of all there is no Raid 10 you fool! Second of all Vista runs just fine with a single hard drive. And third of all; I'm pretty sure that the 4GB ram costs a lot less than what you paid for your computer, monitor and accessories....sigh

Enjoy your virus ridden closed-source OS that phones M$ servers on every boot and restricts your media via the use of DRM. Good luck with that $300 piece of shit. ;)
Guess what, Windows works, and can work just as well as anything else when you've gotten it setup properly. As for viruses, I've used Windows since the late '90s, and the last time I got a virus was in 2000...on Windows 98. MS doesn't use your information that it collects unless you've stolen a Windows license. And, for the most part, if your media doesn't have DRM on it...well, you are stealing (unless you use some legitimate DRM-less programs).
Vista 64. 2 gigRam. 7600GT. E6300. Gigabyte Vista Compatible Mobo. Perfect. Much better than XP. XP reminds me of windows 98 now...seriously you have to try it ...
I ran Vista on my 1.2 Pentium-M laptop with 1.5GB and there just wasn't enough power for it to be enjoyable. However that was before SP1 came out, so I'm not really sure. I would stick with XP until my next machine, I'm still running XP on my laptop and it runs awesome.
I completely agree with you GliTCH11. I havent encounterd a single issue with Vista. Not one issue!. I've been using it since April '07 and havent had a reason to look back. Thats on bith my desktop and my laptop. Not one single issue. It really gets my goat hearing so many retards telling me how shit Vista is. What the hell is wrong with people? Ahh Sod em! I got my Vista, if they dont like it, Fuck EM!
and what I mean by that is ive just woken up and groggy eyed! And yes yes I have been using vista since i got sent my upgrade disc and im enjoying the user experience.
Kudos to you mate, actually running a real world "benchmark" instead of a synthetic one. I am impressed overall with that performance, no slow down with all of those apps open and even encoding that audio file while running CoD4 (awesome game btw!). I am just sick and tired of all of the bad info about Vista in general, I am running the Ultimate x86 version and I love it. I am planning on upgrading to the x64 version in the next few months to unleash my system's potential.
wat firefox theme is that?? looks sweet. im running windows vista ultimate x64 on a e6420@3.2ghz,asus p5k-e, 4gb ram, 820GB total, 8800gt OC@700/1725/980x2, it runs sweet.
Who gives a shit about benchmarks, this is a real world test. Are you going to run benchmarks on your computer all day, or do you actually use it for work?
While I do like Vista X64, unlike you I'm not such a sad fanboy to ignore the fact that many applications, especially games, simply run faster on XP Sp3, nevertheless, I do agree that overall experience of Vista is certainly faster.
Well, I got my Windows 7 full pc from:

Actually, I was encoding an HD version of Batman Begins right off my server to iPhone format. But yeah, there's a lot of misinformation about Vista.
