  • That's exactly how I was when I was first starting but I got it the 2nd day trying because they taught me at gymnastics

  • I tried using the pillow thing , thinking its a good idea, but it didn't work ,.,

  • It's just the fear of actually of jumping back.

  • I think it's about getting stronger, that why is need soft space don't hurt yourself when practice

  • I'm proud of ya! And I'll defiantly try to do it the same way. One question though: Isn't it hard overcoming the fear of getting hurt, when you've obviously hit your head a few times?

  • Ok I tried it and like am I supposed to fall on my neck at first ??? I got it good. One time .

  • @aliceeajack yes, it's not supposed to but this is what happen from starting

  • You pause after you sit. Dont do that just whip it, make sure to swing your arms, do it all together fast and itll go a little smoother. Just make sure to swing the hips upward too. Looks great though! Just some tips.(:

  • wow i cant believe you tried that.....well here are some tips....

    1. when you start to jump make sure you are sitting in a chair position

    2. when you push off your feet , push all they way through your toes- that will give you more power

    3. try keeping your legs a little bit more straight and together

    4. block through your shoulders. this means push your shoulders above your ears so that your arms stay straight and dont buckle in.

    5. try to land with your chest up and legs together

  • how long did it took you to get it?

  • i usd to cher so i could do this but over time i didnt practice so i just forgot how to do i, im so scared of undercutting even though i know i used to be able to do it

  • you are sitting WAYYYYY to deep

  • okay imma try this im 11 hope dont hurt my self doing it on cement

  • @kelseyvanbasten really? are you seriously gonna try it on cement? i know that YOU know how dangerous that is right.... plz tell me that your comment wasnt serious

  • you must pushing **forcely** with your legs

  • u need straight legs

  • This does inspire me, but im afraid of undercutting and hitting my head lol. If you dont want to undercut does that mean I have to go far back more ?

  • ok if i do this i wiil break my neck !!!

  • awesome i ok with it but i cant seem to get it

  • you're kinda undercutting... but this vid inspired me

  • how long did that take you?

  • @littlemisstumbler21 it did for a while before, but it's ok.

  • At the end just before you stand up make sure you keep your head in line with your arms or it will be harder to get up from the back handspring. Also straighten your legs. good job though. I have some vidoes of my tumbling. check them out.

  • good job ill try to convince my parents to use the couch stuff and a mattress

  • adive : you are going to hurt yoursekf when doing backhandspring . you feet shoukd be in front of your knees . your hands shldnt land sooo close .. its almost like laying out .. thats were yer hands should land .

  • did you every do gymnastics or anything? because thats really good progress I'm learning mine at home too!

  • how many times did that take u to learn?

  • @JennaTV1 3-4 months

  • @JennaTV1 not more than one hour per week.

  • Good for you!

  • You inspired me <3

  • you are SO brave!!!!!!!! Im jealous I just can NotTT get myself to do itt

  • You learned by yourself like I did it, I had put my mattres every day on the floor, it took me some time but i got it , that was in 2007 ,and I'm still able to do it . By the way did your mom scold you or something when you were trying to do it? Mine did it lots of times, she told me DONT DO THAT , YOU'LL HURT YOURSELF, and lots of crap, but I'm proud of myself, lots of my friends didn't believe me I got my BHS by myself.

    Congratularions!!!!

  • @Chris9699 nobody knew that I try to learn it, i saw your videos you can do now even more : )

  • Well this was amusing.

  • You taught yourself this???

  • How long did this take you?

  • @kaybabytumbler yes, for sure you will be able to, i had sometimes a break even and for 2 weeks, body hurts a lot, keep soft surface until the end, it took for me 3-4 months.

  • That was really good. What gymnastic experience did you have before this? Could you do a back handspring on a trampoline or have you ever done one before?
