I see some earlier discussions about " COME AS YOU ARE". This terminology does not refer to one's garments. It refers to the conditions and situations in one's life. The meaning behind it is: YOU CAN'T GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER WITHOUT GOD, HE'LL HELP YOU NO MATTER WHAT SHAPE YOU'RE IN." You don't have to get it right before you come to the body of Christ..it is to help the sinners. So, come as you are...killers, liars, adulterers, thieves, addicts, etc....and God will cleanse you. @LOVE1GOD100 Sorry but the bible that I read says "come as you are". Could you please tell me in the bible where it says that women should wear dresses to church. It amazes me that people are still coming up with all these rules. It do not matter if they have on jeans or not, as long as they coming to recieve a word from God. That's why so many people do not go to church now because people like you with all you rules and regulations.

@clemsonprince I totally agree with you. NOWHERE in the biblw does it say you can not serve GOD based upon what you wear. My pastor is a woman and my church is come as you are. Many people don't have the "church clothes" . What if someone is down and out and they desire to come to church, a sprit of hinderance is going to prevent them from coming in when people believe you have to dress properly to worship the lord.
