  • Argh! Im a lefty.....

  • does it feel as paper?

  • @elDreDas hahah...your funny :)

I don't own a cintiq yet but I don't think it feels like paper :d

  • @menotspeakenglish i think you have no idea of anything related to this topic...

I own an intuos4 M and it gives a really good feeling when your drawing, it feels almost as paper so why shouldn't this one?

  • @elDreDas i'm pretty sure that i read somewhere that the screen was ( and is ) made of glass....

  • the cursor of my grip pen shakes a lot in the upper part of the screen. did that ever happened to you? please respond.

  • @saprissa9 ´It happens to alot of tablets

  • Thanks for doing this review. I am about to purchase this unit and I like your honesty about not wasting your money unless you are willing to learn it's ways. I think this item is gonna bring out a new side of creativity for me since I haven't had a tablet for a few years. I'm looking forward to also using it for audio and video editing on my MacBook. Looks like a great universal tool to have.

  • perfect review, but...

i am thinking, should i save up another 1600 euros and buy a 21ux

    or should i buy a 12wx now?

size doesn't really matther for me, but the 12wx looks abit too small, so... i don't know, is the size good for you?

    thanks

  • im serously considering buying the cintiq - dont suppose u know how it works on windows 7 64 bit ??

does it work with it at all ?

    thanks, good review!!

  • @muzikmasteruk yeah it works in WIn7 64bit!...I have one and it's simply amazing in it!! :)

  • im holding out for a a newer version of the cintiq21ux its n out for 4 years + and im hoping 2010 they will launch a new model!

  • Excellent review.

I've been indoctrinated to the Wacom world after buying a Bamboo a year ago and using it for concept art in Set Design.

I did notice after all this time the drawing space is getting worn down from my pen-strokes. You can see some scratches after use.

I'm worried that if I buy this the screen will show scratches after a little bit of time.

  • hi, are you running your autodesk apps on mac or pc? what do you think is best. thanks, jeff

  • I run on PC's...I dont own a mac.

  • Ok, I'm thinking of putting some money towards it and getting one for christmas. I'm quite young and hoping to start a career in graphics.

  • Was this a new or used one? I heard you got it off of eBay. Also how much did it cost you?

  • It was used from ebay for £700.

  • decided to w8 till a new 21 inch one is out

  • i just brought the 21ux for $4000, still waiting for it to arrive though (hopefully today or tomorrow). Never used a regular tablet as the disconnect seemed to be too much for me. I was luck enough to sit down with a 21ux where i study for about 10min and instantly seen the potential for mudbox, zbrush and texturing and fell in love with the thing.

    nice review.

  • i think the slight delay would be fixed with a driver update, along with the edge of the screen being a bit wonky as u said! let me know pls as i plan to get one =) although i feel bad just got my mum to get the the new alienware M17x now this =s see what she says though ;p

  • Thanks for the review, a friend of mine has one of these, and I was wondering how it would work with mudbox.

    Thanks Wayne.

  • Oh nice the review!

    ^^

  • The active light on the top left would annoy the crap out of me - some black tape for that i think.

Perhaps the heat thing that others have found is when its laid flat or on someones knee - my laptop only gets half as hot when the ventilation is ok.

Your a pen flipper I see - I can never get into doing that - dunno why...

Didnt think they were quite so expensive - but nice to know all the same.

Hope that things got a robust screen - or more so than your old wacom anyway ;)

  • Well theres one way to find out ...lol I give it 18 months maximum the rate I use the damn things. Although it does seem well made.

  • bamboo rocks for me so far but i am planning a upgrade i will keep this in mind

  • Oke qeustion

i have a realy small wacom

    it was like 20 euro's

will it do any of the stuff nearly as good as that?

becease i cant work with the bloody thing is it just me or the wacom?

  • wish i could afford one of these :p until then, i'll have to do with my bamboo.

  • Well I did have to use the housekeeping money for next month to afford it lol.

  • lol. That baby.

  • Without doubt it was the most off putting thing in any ideo I've recorded lol.

  • lol

  • cool I have a bamboo LOL
