  • unbelievable band one of the best

  • unbelievable band one of the best

  • This is such a good song. I SO love the Sade cover of it. But here are the guys that made this beautiful song for us. Great wrighting! They can take pride in this preformance all their days.

  • vay amk.

  • This video should be re-uploaded because the audio track is very weak

  • Embarassed to say that I discovered this song because Sade just covered it on her greatest hits collection that's coming out next month. I love this original and will definitely check out more of their stuff. Any suggestions of songs/albums I should start with?

  • @debbiedoodiedandi ANYTHING by Gary Moore is fantastic.. The "Live & Dangerous" album was probably one of the BEST they ever did. Gary Moore left the band a few times because he couldnt get Phil to stop using Heroin.. which is what killed him in the mid 80's. Thin lizzy's "Romeo & the Lonely Girl" is cool, "Dont believe a Word".. Gary does some great music on his own.. "Empty Rooms".. "Stll got the Blues".. "Midnight Blues"

  • @debbiedoodiedandi Live and Dangerous, Jailbreak and Bad Reputation are great albums and the ones taht made Thin Lizzy known to a larger audience. Black Rose (my first :-)) is also great.

  • Phil Lynott books for sale: My boy by Philomena Lynott and The Rocker by Mark Putterford. Mail me at liamkiernan@yahoo.com for more details. I'm living in Celbridge, Kildare.

  • i have beeen listening to this song since 1978 and a week does not go without me listening to the different solos done by sykes.moore, white for this song.my all time favourite after deep purples mistreated and child in time

  • sykes did state in an interview that he played this solo note for note from gary moore.still what an icredible solo.very emotive and therefore phil prefered sykes version for the life album.good work sykes .

  • still great he went to soon.....still in love with you phil.

  • The sentimental poet does not fit with his The Rocker image. I think he was the best poet of his generation.

  • 1982-1983 Thin Lizzy Tour, John Sykes on the guitar and Scott Gorham after solo. Philip Lynott died 01-04-1986 R.I.P.

  • makes me cry every time i hear amazing this..... missed very much you are singing in the stars now Phil

  • simply amazing nobody makes music like this anymore

  • This is the version from Life Live - it's a pity they never released a live video of the farewell tour (or the stuff in life/live)

or did they? Where did you get this one?

  • Damm it's raining where I'm from...this song makes me want to pound a bottle of J.

  • Please could you tell me how I get this copy of this DVD? I think Phil's voice is just the best he ever sung this tune on this recording... Thanks, Kev.

  • best breake up song EVER !!!!

  • my late dad buried next to Phil in a beautifull graveyard near the sea ,not so much resting in peace more rocking in peace ,the man was and still is a legend

  • I love this version

  • @ HellScyth:

So true! But even worser: this is a song, U never want to performe (with your band) for your Beloved, knowing even this would not bring her back into your arms ...

    Greetings from Germany!

  • As a Thin Lizzy fan I am glad others out there still listen to this great music! This song I used to play when I was feeling down in the dumps...maybe it sped up the recovery process by bringing out all the pain. Great song!!

  • this is the song you never want to listen to, and realise that it's your current reality.

On a lighter note: This song is powerful and full fo deep meaning, and Thin Lizzy rock.

  • you're right. you never want to listen to this and sometimes it just pops up in your head when your thinkin about ''the old days'' and you play it and it all comes back again, thats what great music does to you..

  • is this 'slowed down' or something?

  • Awesome guitar

  • true............this songs says gary moore all over it.........you can see it from 10000000000 miles away

  • jeez all these years i thought it was moore

    taking that first solo

listened to it a hundred times if once

on the album - tears me apart

never ' ve seen the video b4 now

    man sykes says it all

gorham's become my favorite over the years but i dont envy him

    having to follow sykes' statement

b/c no way it can be bettered

thnx a bunch for the 'tube

  • THE best song this band ever did. Awesome. Most people have never heard it.

  • never - never - have heard a singer in pain like lynott here

    he could rock

man he could rock with the best of 'em

    but nobody sings the blues

    like phil lynott could

    raw pleading heartbreak

i cant even listen to this song very often

    too painful

    it's like confession

  • Think I'll just fall to pieces

If I don't find something else to do

    This sadness never ceases

I'm still in love with you

My head, it keeps on reeling

It's got me in a crazy spin

    Darling, darling, darling

    Is this the end?

    Still in love with you

  • 5 years on and I'm still in love with you. Miss you so much, x

  • does anyone know where this concert was?

  • Dublin

  • The Legend lives on

  • just brilliant

  • best version of this song

  • Total and Absolute lyrics and melody.

  • Normally I don't like Sykes, but he actually done this song justice with that solo. ;)

  • Thank You Phillip Lynott..... You will never be forgotten...

    Tears in my eyes.....

    Cecilie

  • I'll never grow tired of this song. Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y!

Thanks my friend Thano. I love it and I'm still in love with you:)...

    Thanks for posting streapsearch 5*****..

  • Love this song !!

  • Love it

  • I could listen to this all day long. Wait! I did! It's incredible, this tune, best TL song, imho.

  • Never heard this song before...Wow!!! What a great song.

  • 'Sound's like he means it ;D, we do too!

  • Owh good vers. of a great love song!

  • Best version, for me.......Hi, Phil.

  • best lovesong I`v ever heard and will allways be......thanks Phil and God bless you......

  • Phil seems like a real great guy.

  • that was unbelievable.

    what a great song

  • Live & Dangerous version kicks ass. Sykes can twiddle, but he doesn't have soul.

  • Couldn´t agree more. It makes me so angry to see Sykes playing under the name of Thin Lizzy. And I wonder... Isn´t he ashamed of himself?

  • Sykes doesn't have soul? You must be dumb as well as deaf you mofo.

  • Go listen to your 80s metal you tit.

  • i hate to be a stickler...but this version is lacking only slightly cause of sykes's solo...lynott made robertson play it the way it was written, and he should have made sykes do the same

  • It's a live version. If you want a studio version buy it. Ugh. Improvisation is a good thing.

  • yes improvisation is a good thing, and im sure phil lynott would've said the same thing. however he made robertson play the solo the way it was played on the record cause that solo was unbelievably melodic and moving. sykes turns it into a wankfest, like he does all his solos.

  • agree with you mate 10/10 for technique, -10 for soul

  • Phil's body may be dead but his soul lives on in the music he created. Thanks for posting!

  • Wow, its so accurate!

Thank god i dont feel like this anymore.

    Such horrible times!

    The mans got soul.

  • My hero. Thank you God for giving me the honour of seeing this man. What a song and what a talent....Still Out Here xxxxx

  • This is Rock, R&B, Jazz, Blues all in one.

I must agree with sugar monkey, it drips Emotion!

  • Im crying !

  • Drips emotion.

  • Saw them twice on this tour. The most amazing band ever to have graced the planet. I'm so grateful that I was born in the 60s, otherwise I'd have missed Lizzy in their pomp.

  • I envy you! I was 5 when phil died.

  • Phil, you are the best, together with yor friend Gary.

    Greetings from the Basque Country!

  • thats a sweet solo from gorham at the end with harmonics too

  • if there was any band i could go back in time and see, i think it would be thin lizzy.

especially on the live and dangerous tour

  • Yeah i think i would have to agree! Would have loved to see philo,...I think Zeppelin with Bonham would be a close second,..?

  • also i think Pink Floyd would be great to go back and see.

  • I saw them in May of 94', in Clemson S.C.

  • Good man! I was fortunate enough to be a teenager/early 20s when Lizzy were active. They were phenomenal live. Phil was a fabulous frontman. Brash but shy. A natural born rock star.

  • I'd see Deep Purple, at the 3 concerts where they recorded Made In Japan...Machine Head tour.

  • awesome powerful song

  • incredible..thanks

  • Much prefer the Live and Dangerous version. I bet you do too.

  • oh fuck... that is great

  • + 10, gotta change my ip adress for that tho

  • one of thin lizzys best, brilliance.

  • Till now, I thaught the version with Gary Moore is the only one... love this too, it´s a different, special one*****

  • Sykes is a bloody G-U-I-T-A-R-I-S-T..everyone has their own opinion so for me its" GARY,JOHN,SCOTT,BRIAN..now Phil"s gone In Sykes we trust we Thin Lizzy fans

  • its on the album 'night life' very good by the way. great drumming on this track forreal

  • I met his mom the other night! What a lady!

  • what album is this song off? Thanks in advance :)

  • It's from Live 83 album.

  • thanks

  • you're welcome

  • 1:32 what a feeling !!!!!!

  • my only comment, damn thanks, one of the best heart songs .dont give a dang

  • Is a terrific song and i listen my heart brek

  • f**ckin' love it. rock n roll forever. phil was such a brilliant man, and the band, oh my god, if only he could have lived.....

  • And the far away hills look greener still but soon they'll all slip away It's then I'll be returning and I'll be coming home to stay

a song for while im away-Phil lynott

  • "You are my life, my world come true, you're all I have..." (I hope that's right; I'm typing from memory.)

One of his best, as well, from the *terrific* Vagabonds album. Phil was a world-historic talent; utterly irreplaceable. Damn, I miss that guy.

  • Can someone tell my who sings some of the lyrics on still in love with you on the studio/greatest hits albums? thanks ;D

  • if its the original version from nightlife then you've got frankie miller on vocals with phil mate.let me know if its a different version, i'll let ya know.

  • Yeah the Nightlife version :D Thanks dude ;)

  • killer song check out freedom and whiskey here on u tube thanks

  • stallionare9, Can´t believe what you´re saying.

You are cold as ice. You know nothing about emotions, nothing about music and nothing about Phil.

  • The "Live & Dangerous" version is simply sublime...both Robbo and Scott Gorham play exemplary guitar solo's - actually for me, Gorham's solo is one of the classic guitar solo's of all time. For those that don't understand why its worth actually learning the instrument vs playing Guitar Hero - this explains it! There is nothing like the real deal!

  • you said it brother!

  • and not bad guitar

  • nice song ) nice lyricz

  • absolutely one of the best songs ever. Phil had no peer as a songwriter....

  • one of the best songs written for love

  • Stallionaire0 Appears to a real Thin Lizzy fan that you seem to know a lot about big fat hairy monkey balls.Phil and Thin Lizzy not only created their songs, they lived them.Bitch

  • stallionare9 what the fuck is wrong with you this is one of there best songs.none of there songs are bad so go screw yourself
