  • where can i get this movie??

  • 4:30 "what hit me". Couple seconds before. "stupid slicer". Lol

  • I wonder why I bought Gone in 60 Seconds 1 of the 1978 film which is the right film on the right disc but when I bought the 3rd it, has The Junkman and not Gone In 60 Seconds 3 Firebird Tornado. Oh well sent email so hopefully will be sorted.Gr8 films otherwise!

  • 3:18 has elenor in the back ground they just painted it different r.i.p toby the car crash king

  • I didn't know Gone in 60 Seconds was origanally a US 1970s film.

Wow!!! Looks brilliant I've only seen the Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie version as I live in the UK I might see if I can get hold of these mentioned youtube movies, that are on youtube I should say! Apparently someone sadly died whilst making the origanal Gone in 60 Seconds so I read.

  • Hopefully the Gone in 60 Seconds 2 footage that exists will be edited together and released someday soon. This clip indicates this would have been a spectacular, visionary, ground breaking film if it had been finished.

  • Gta should have a slider haha

  • @depends187 Driv3r has a go-kart that has can slide under cars very well.

  • Who needs 8 airbags for safety?

  • ok maybe its 3:31

  • 3:33 I see the cops driving by the slicer

  • WTF IS THAT THING?

  • 0:52 lightbar fell off of the cop car

  • wow i see lots of lightbars some are really old

  • OMG....that wire cut the chassis of those police cars as if you were putting a knife through butter!!

  • I have the DVD of this. it came with a special edition set of Gone in 60 seconds. Halicki was the King of Crashes.

  • LOL 3:25 that guy on the right looks like Ryan Dunn from Jackass!

  • just so you know they didn't release it because Halicki died while filming right before the biggest scene of the movie when a pole fell on him.

  • @justinshell01 Yea, I read about that, R.I.P., Halicki. I wonder where they got this footage to show us.

  • @tomcatfranks This is available on the Collector's Edition DVD for the Original Gone IN 60 Seconds.

  • I wonder what they ever did with this car. I know Denise Halicki still has Eleanor from the original Gone. Would love to see it one day, we are building a clone of her, but ours really is a 73. I would have loved to see this movie finished. The pumpkins are funny, he must have had one heck of a sense of humor....Gotta love how there's an Eleanor in this too....and gotta have the stoners too.

  • what was this from?

  • Can you read?

  • Gone in 60 Seconds II, the follow up to Gone in 60 Seconds. This scene was shot in Kenmore, NY, the same place the tower fell. We went there just last week with our Eleanor clone (we have pics in a slideshow on our channel, she's a clone of Halicki's Eleanor, not the one from the remake to be clear), it was eerie and cool at the same time. It's changed enough that it was a little hard to figure out where this door was, some of the buildings were repainted and stuff, but it's still there.

  • do you have the clips shot in dunkirk and jamestown ny. these all bring back old memories of the sets 20 years ago. seeing dunkirk as it was when i was a kid

  • No, I don't personally have any clips of what we shot in Dunkirk or in Jamestown (nor in Buffalo, where the water tower scene was shot). You can find the footage that was pieced together as a long chase scene (around 20 minutes I think?) in those areas, however, if you get the "Deadline Autotheft"/"Gone In 60 Seconds 2" DVD. It's not a great DVD overall, but there's some footage in there that you'd recognize. It was a crazy summer... I think you can get it on Amazon if you're interested.

  • wow this was done in 1988???

  • Summer of 1989.

  • lol pirotechnics must have had a field day here.

  • How did they build that car?

  • I am looking to make contact with George Cole, Dennis Stouffer and Barbara who worked in the office for Toby.

    Richard M

  • instant junkyard

  • It hurts to see so many cars get smashed to pieces....

  • I love cars as much as the next person...

But I think that was the only car that ever scared me :P. So much HP!

  • cool car

  • Just shoot the slicer!

  • This is a surreal clip to watch because I was on that set every day almost 20 years ago when we filmed it. I was a camera man on the film and we seemed to cheat death everyday. Toby wasn't so lucky, obviously. He was standing right next to me when the tower went down prematurely (my camera was on a hi-hat at the base of the tower). Toby ran to my left, 90 degrees from the tower's fall. The cables snapped, somehow missed me, took out the phone pole, tracking Toby perfectly. We know the rest

  • what happened?

  • he died and the movie was canceled

  • @Pelicam13: Poor Toby. I kinda wish he had lived, because I would have loved to have seen the sequel to the original Gone in 60 Seconds. I'm a big fan of the first one.

  • That had the makings of one of the most awesome movies ever.. :(

  • Finally, a car built especially for student drivers.

  • ELANORE rocks

  • the best car chase movie ever

  • I just don't have any sympathy for the Slicer.

  • watever that yellow thing is it looks ridioulous!

  • 3:35 It even says Eleanor on the windshield!

  • 3:20, Eleanor!

  • H.B. Halicki died during a scene, a watertower where he was on collapsed

  • what is slicer

  • Is this some kind of hovercraft? Looks stupid anyway. D:

  • While it looks ugly and stupid, in performance and function it is beautiful and intelligent.

  • There's a point in the G2 footage where you can see the water tower fall, that's the event that killed Toby. Tower started to fall, everyone exceptToby ran one way, he ran the other, was hit by a falling phone pole. used about 300 cars...

  • Actually hit by the -wire- attatched to the power pole, IIRC.

  • I know Toby's brother, worked on the estate settlement, got it from the horse's mouth... the falling telephone pole hit him. I also saw the last photo taken of him as he was loaded into the ambulance. The head injury involved most of his skull, he only lived a few minutes. Toby was a great guy, shoulda been more careful

  • man,old 60 seconds rocks!

  • I love the first one!

  • LOL Slicer! Does it transform?? Looks like something from Wipeout with the speed of turtle.

  • Where's the Transtar II?

  • amazing destruction scene - ahead of its time

  • God that movie looks forgetable.

  • Given the Slicer's ground clearance, one speed bump would have finished this chase immediately!

  • Naw, just a good, deep NYC pothole would do it!!!

  • I fuckin hate that name elenor. They totally ruin a damn nice car to make them look like that piece of crap.

  • Hey its their car, they can do what they want with it

  • Sounds to me as if you're talking about the crappy "remake", where what was *supposed* to be a GT500 was actually a design by the art director that showed what GT500s *would* have looked like if Ford and Shelby had had the good taste to ask him to help out...

  • 3 Trashed Hours to upload this FKN video

  • this is a good example of wasted film and too many smoked joints. should have just eaten the twinkies and rode the high out

  • I watched it couple of times and still cannot find Halicki in this video... Any help???

  • He's the cop

  • wtf did i just waste my time watching?

  • Anyone noticed the original "Eleanor" in that clip?

  • It was with those two guys at the 3:17 mark? It looked like word Eleanor was on the windshield.

  • Yep, I believe it's so.

  • can this movie be bought on DVD?

  • The few finished scenes that there are, were included on Halicki's "Deadline Auto Theft" DVD.

  • great vid!! too bad the star had to lose his life!

  • unfinished cause actor died right?

  • Yes, the actor-director-writer-stuntman. Halicki died during the making of this film when a stunt involving a collapsing water tower went wrong.

  • It's even sadder than you said - "stunt gone wrong" covers it, i guess, but they weren't shooting; it was a crew meeting to go over the next shot before they did it, and a cable supporting a water tower (with three legs cut; it was supposed to come down in the next shot)broke and the tower fell on them...

Interesting to see "Toby" Halicki as a cop in this one...

  • True, the crew was planning for the next shot when this incident unfolded and the tower went down prematurely. I was a cameraman on this movie, so I should know. We had 5 cameras set up and when the support cables snapped and the tower began to fall, we were able to roll on 3 of the cameras. Toby was standing right next to me when the tower began to fall. The snapping cables somehow missed me and managed to cut a telephone pole down which crushed him. Strange to watch this 20 years later...

  • If you worked on this movies, then can you explain what the heck that slicer thing was suppost to be?

  • There was never a script on the set. It was all in the director's head. We shot all the action/chase/crash sequences first, with plans to do the dialog scenes (the plot!) later. Only dialog we shot was of those 2 stoner guys with the lizard. Supposedly, the story had it that the Slicer was supposed to be a car that some local kids had built as a prank on Halloween, and it got out of hand. Of course, that part of the movie was never realized, since Toby died shooting the tower sequence.

  • so this whole movie was canceled??

  • Yes.

  • Interesting. so what was the slicer actually made of?

  • I don't remember what kind of car chassis it was built on, but I remember seeing the Slicer in the shop when they were putting on the finishing touches -- I think it was either steel plate or cast iron, about an inch thick... It was a monster.. Plus, the stunt driver only had a very tiny window in the front to look out of (only a few inches wide) -- it's painted black, so you can't see it well in the clips. It was also SUPER hot inside the Slicer; the poor stunt driver nearly sweat to death.

  • Yeah that thing looks dangerous, but still, the Slicer is pretty bad ass. Rush hour traffic wouldn't be a problem when you can drive right under them!

  • Yeah, jimmyjimjimjuru, LOL. Now if I could only play Need for Speed: Most Wanted Black Edition, Need for Speed: Carbon Collector's Edition, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition Remix, and other similar games with such a car.

  • I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it could be a mod.

  • So, if you could, would you like to help me finish the sequel aloong with the people that originally had made it, please, Pelican1? I have some ideas that are in my head but, sadly, I lack the automotive genius and experience as well as the necessary requirements for there to be putting myself into finishing the film. At any rate, the movie needs to kind to continue. I would like to discuss how it would happen if you guys would like. Please send me a message, okay? Thank you.

  • @brujaria what?died for his movie?what a hero :-)

can you see the unfinished movie somewhere?

  • damn i want that car
