@Moskvich30 Uzbek and Tajik culture are almost identical. It's not a culture of Tajiks or Uzbeks per se. It's a culture of sedentary Muslim population of Central Asia.
@QoziKalon hey dude, what are u talking about tajik and uzbek is not the same, uzbek is turkic meanwhile tajik is iranic not the same at all, u are just spearding the predjuice about turks having no culture and only importing from persian , tajiks and so on, shame on u, we central asian turks have a unquie culture resembling none other , no tajik or persian or whatever u want to call it, uzbek tend to be more sedentary not tajik, please say one thing tajik about uzbek culture please say one thi
@shanjahan Read what a person wrote before throwing accusations. I never said that Tajiks and Uzbeks are the same. I said their culture is almost identical. Note the word "almost". It means "not entirely". We have a different language and ethnic origin. But culturally we are closer to each other than to any other ethnic group. I never said that Turks have no culture. Never will I say that Persians have no culture. These are the kind of things racist nutjobs on both sides say.
@shanjahan Now, you said that Uzbeks tend to be more sedentary and not Tajiks. Wrong. There is not a single group of Tajiks that live a nomadic lifestyle. Thus, all of them are sedentary. In the meantime, there are Uzbeks out there that still stick to nomadic roots. We Uzbeks are indeed Turkic and have Turkic blood. It is a known historical fact that Turkic people were nomads. Some are still nomadic. Look at Kazakhs and Kyrgyzs. Persians and Tajiks however are not.
@shanjahan You asked me to say one thing Tajik about Uzbek culture. I will not say that some things in Uzbek culture are Tajik or vice versa. I will point out things that are common to both Tajiks and Uzbeks. Religion. Both are Sunni, Hanafi Muslims for the most part. Clothing. Robes, hats, footwear, even the piece of cloth we wrap around our waists - identical. The way we build our houses, lay our gardens in our yards, irrigate the land, traditional agricultural and craftsmanship tools.
@shanjahan The list continues. Classical music - the Shashmaqom. Virtually same musical compositions. The only difference is that Uzbeks sing classical Chagatay Turkic poetry while playing those musical masterpieces and Tajiks sing classical Persian poetry. Most really good Shashmaqom singers sing both Uzbek and Tajik versions. Same musical instruments too. Cuisine is virtually the same. Same dishes, cooking techniques, same types of produce used. Even the names of the dishes are mostly same.
@shanjahan I gave the huge list of things that Uzbeks and Tajiks have in common. Identical things that both Uzbeks and Tajiks consider their ethnic heritage and what creates their ethnic identities. Now let me ask you this. What do Turkic Uzbeks and Turkic Kyrgyzs have in common? Do they have the same lifestyle? No. Same music? No. Same cuisine? No. Same clothing? No. Same styles of classical literature and poetry? No. All they have in common are distantly similar languages.
@shanjahan You said: "We Central Asian Turks have a unique culture resembling none other." Wrong. Uzbeks are Central Asian Turks and their culture (as I pointed out) resembles Tajik one. Kyrgyzs and Kazakhs are Central Asian Turks and their culture resembles that of Mongols (who are not Turkic by the way). Tajiks are Central Asian Iranic people, yet their culture resembles Uzbek culture much more than it resembles that of Persians of Iran. Uzbeks and Tajiks are brothers.
