The first time I heard Girl Talk I thought it was just another mindless mashup, just junk food for the ears... how wrong I was. Greg Gillis is being honest when he says he loves ALL music, and even though he has found his success with 'pop' music, his background owes just as much to the underground pioneers, from Negativland up to Kid606, and he readily acknowledges that. The guy knows what he's doing and hopefully this is just the beginning of what we see from him...

the fact that within the first minute of this interview Greg Gillis mentions Negativland tells me that the dude knows the history of sampling well.

Negativland is amazing as is Girl Talk.
