The game was good in the early years 2000-2002 but became a piece of shit when ayonae ro and antonius bayle's public became a bunch of annoying trolls and grammar nazis who pick on people for making a spelling error not knowing what in their fucking life must be going on.

I'm not pointing out at nice people,but you can bet on it that my attitude reflected how i was treated and how i fucking didn't care anymore.

One of my favorite reason for playing EQ, blind exploration. No maps, no clues. All you had were land marks and if you messed that up as a non-invis class, good luck finding your corpse!

they fucked the game up if you ask me, I was into it all the way up to LDoN, then all the AAs, planes, flags, etc..etc..etc.. ghey.

so I moved to eq2

liked it a lot, taking a break from it and trying conan currently. Conan so far has been bad ass.

Nothing will compare to EQ1 from original release thru kunark. That was when it was at its finest. I did like the character model upgrade from luclin though.

Because it is a great game, the first of its kind, it set standards that no other game did. Without EQ, no other great MMO would exist, we would all still be playing UO. The gameplay is great the community is great, the graphics are amazing now compared to old school eq graphics.

Because anyone who wasn't in diapers back in 1999 either had a choice between this and UO, Nothing else. And this was was got MMO's big in the first place. This is what started it all. Alot don't play it anymore but many return to see how far mmos have come, "or declined". Others stay for the fact that it is a MMO, hence a longterm commitment, these aren't console games, but with how many mmos out today, it sure seems like it somtimes...
