  • It's Moussa Sadr you clowns not Moqtada Sadr, shows how accurate and unbiased this documentary really is.

  • The most plausible explanation is that her American mother raised her in Lebanon, then broke up with her father and returned to u.s. leaving her daughter that doesn't want u.s. citizenship.

It's called mother tongue for a reason and hers is English.

I live in Montreal, a bilingual city and you cannot have someone fluent in 2 languages just by having classes in school, you need to live in an environment with fluent speakers in both sides, since very early on, while learning your ABC's or sooner.

  • I am very disappointed with the presenter to even agree in presenting this what a shame...as for "derek" that am not even sure if he is lebanese, we one makes stupid sound of happiness when they get hold of a gun or the fact in having to have a gun at home...why dont you make a documentry of why and how amal and hezbollah was formed...i am speechless what a disappointment from aljazeera what a shame...

  • This doesn't make sense: Chloe has lived all her life in Lebanon but speaks impeccable American English - how did this happen? She met her US mother only once in her life, her grandparents - who supposedly raised her - don't speak one iota of English and her father speaks English with a thick accent and although they say she's never been to US, there's a picture of her (supposedly) mother holding Chloe as a baby in a house with a staircase behind them that is clearly a US home.

  • @chisapic

Concerning Chloe's 'perfect' English, did you not think about from where she gets her education? In lebanon, the students either speak arabic and fluent english, or arabic and fluent french. its no surprise that she can speak english, but rather ignorant and foolish of you to suggest that this witness story is a fake. Im a fan of the AlJazeera Witness program and think that these 2 parts were informative and well presented.

  • At 3.26, there is a mistake by the filmaker, the person who formed the shia group in the past was Moussa Al-Sadr, who was kidnapped more than 35 years ago, not Moqtada, he is presently the Iraqi leader of the Al-Mahdi group.

  • You are right. I have noticed that too.

  • NOT Moqtada Sadr

  • LOL. HAHAHA

Amal was founded by Imam Musa Sadr !

  • it wasnt organised by moqtadal sader dumiies!!!!

  • They (jewish media) try too show Lebanon as a place that can erupt into civil war again at any moment but its not what we see in reality.

Thanks to them (Israel) Lebanon is united and will remain like this because they know who's the real enemy now.

  • This guy is not hezbollah, he appeared in BBC's documentary b4 as a gun dealer, you could search in youtube

  • lol

  • lebanon the perfect country

  • that is not normal to have guns with children

  • @Zhukov1000 how else can you try and secure their lives against the Israeli Genocide. BTW this is a last resort and these people reached last resort a long while back and are running out. We need to stop Israel.

I've seen this funny accent guy in a few documentaries now with different views :S. and it's not Muqtada al-sadr. so kinds of tell you about the quality of BBC in insuring objective views.

  • amal fought the p.l.o

  • That American woman is a bitch.

  • The translation isn't 100%, they skip a few words here and there...

  • this documentary is scary... man i live in beirut and it ain't that scary

  • What do you expect from western media? lol

  • there is a mistake in the documentery,

the founder of Amal Movement is "Moussa Alsadar" Note "Moqtada Alsadar"

  • Yeah Musa As Sadr began the Amal but Muqtada As Sadr is the Shi'a cleric in Iraq, currently studying to become an Ayatollah.

  • He was in the film "hunting for hezbollah "

  • touching !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is an interesting vidio.About a Lebanese man.Who married an American woman. But when the couple went back to Beirut,Lebanon in 1985,his wife left him, after their daughter was born.Leaving him alone as a single parent. His daughter now a teenager has taken to religion. While her father is not religious at all.Although this is not about Hezbollah,it tells of the problems of living in Lebanon now.Which is a tough country.

  • You are so ignorant and haven't the slightest clue of the real world.

  • u bet....but thats a new one g thx for insulting me

  • lol there a insane peole everywhere that includes where you come from my friend where is it ? iran

  • Go learn this word: sublimation (psychology).

  • Izrael = baby killers - even the Nazis did NOT kill babies. The Izraelis are WORST than the Nazis.

  • personally nothing but thats not the point dude. because Israeli crimes are away from my home it doesnt mean that everything is ok... they kill innocent people they forget their recent history with nazis and they didnt learn anything from their past

  • So 2 wrongs make a right?

The big issue though is its israel occupying other countries who therefore have to defend themselves, then get complained about for defending themselves, which is hypocritical since israel is supposed to be praised for defending themselves.

Hezbollah and Hamas did not strike first, it was civilians who rose up against israeli occupation.

  • LOL of course not my dear friend.

Hamas is not a terrorist organization it is the legally elected government of Palestinians so it is a political party like republicans and democratic s in the United States ...

  • ... ok, you're delusional

  • Actually that information is quite correct. Hamas was legitimately elected. Vanity Fair also published documents showing the US began arming and funding Fatah to then overthrow Hamas, Hamas caught the coup plotters and preempted the US-backed coup. Republicans and Democrats by the way, have killed ten times more people than Hamas. That's undeniable.

  • the point is that hamas kills civilians just as israel does. the fact that people conveniently ignore this fact is absurd.

  • I don't think any informed person ignores it. The issue is that a movement like Hamas was birthed out of the Israeli occupation. There's a difference between colonial violence and terror that results from colonialism.

  • stupid

  • @oceanbound222 nazis did not kill babies? are you on crack. ayway lebanon wi bass ari bi syria

  • @oceanbound222 The Nazi' killed thousands of babies and children if not millions not to mention sterilizing and killing the disabled, homosexual and gypsies etc as well as the jews of course. I am not saying Israel is doing good stuff but your history is completely wrong
