  • Thanks this is a peace I always wanted to play in church just on the organ. Now you have me convinced.thanks again, and may our heavenly Father bless you every day as you play for him.

  • A nice interpretation of this piece, which I find to be most highly overrated. I encourage you to continue to perform this on the pipe organ and leave the bagpipes outside on the marching field.

  • dear Friend,

A beautiful interpretation of this piece. I particularly like the organ voices. Thank you!

I have always loved this tune, although not a Scot!

  • Interesting rendition. Having been born in Scotland, and raised in the USA, I'm quite partial to anything Scottish.

I am also an organist, and member of the Masonic Scottish Rite. I learned this both as an organ solo and accompanying pipes. I don't take this piece any faster than mm=60. It is classified as a dirge-march. It should not be hurried at all.

  • I would so very much like to have the sheet music for this well-done organ solo transcription: is it available? If so, please advise whom to contact, and how, to obtain it. Thank you "Flute Celeste" for posting! (I do not know German ~ sorry!)

  • Wirklich gut! Allerdings für meinen Geschmack zu schnell. Und ich muss zustimmen: Das Zugenregister ab 4:00 passt perfekt zu dem Lied.

  • ti-ming is not a town in china lol!

  • Sounds very good, but it would sound better with a massed bands along with it. That would be Awesom. Filling the church with a bunch of pipe bands to record this, with you playing the organ.

  • nearly always a tears number

  • Het is en blijft een geweldig mooi stuk . Klinkt echt geweldig !!!!

  • Does anyone know where I can get the Sheet Music for this for the Organ? Can not find it anywhere!!

  • Geweldig gespeeld.

  • Ahh! Couldn't mistake that warmth and clarity! I think Schweinfurt was no. 8902. It was built in 1951 and I believe it was replaced with a modern tracker-action instrument in recent years. I think St. Johannis made a mistake not keeping it. Where again is this organ? Would like to put it on my must-see.

  • This organ looks and sounds like a Steinmeyer. Am I correct? Fell in love with one some 25 years ago in Johanniskirche, Schweinfurt(opus 8902).

  • @Diapason16ft correct!

  • Stefan, You are a great organist and Highland Cathedral is superb! I loved it so much,

    Robin

  • Do you know where I could find a score for this piece of music for the organ? I'm getting married in August and the organist does not have the music!

  • Just beautiful!

  • Awesome Hymn! I have the sheet music for it myself in an organ score!

  • I am from Scotland and I would like to thank you for this magnificent rendition of this great Scottish tune. Your choice of stops at 4:00 & 6:00 were excellent.

  • Geweldig mooi gespeeld.

  • I am incredibly impressed!

  • this is a very beautiful piece

  • Der verzaubernde Klang der Steinmeyerorgeln der 50 er Jahre Traumhaft !

  • das beste zu schluss^^

    Fantastisch

    echt respeckt.

  • Beautiful!

Is Steinmeyer still in business? I've heard the one in Altoona, PA, and it's one of our finest organs, IMO.

  • Would like to know, who the builder of this fine

instrument is. It has the most wonderful and warm flue stops.

  • It is Steinmeyer, and it was built in 1955-63 with 4 Manuals and 65 stops.

  • One of my favorite melodies, performed by one of my favorite performers. Wonderful, and thank you so very much!!

  • marvelous!

  • Excellent! Could be possible to be in contact to organaze somethig together or a musical exchange betwen you and my friend Pietro delle chiaie (an very good organist)?
