Judging from the high resistance to shield damage, but plenty of bleedthrough (and also his rank and ship). I would assume a Covariant Shield Array Mk III - IV, possibly Uncommon or Rare. Could be Standard issue aswell though.

The entire game is free to play. Not just a trail version. That being said, u can get better things with money but the entire game is free.

You´re lying. ST:O tooks 30 minutes download. But the Ship is LOW... With my Constituion- Class Ship i didn´t take this Damage against an Negh´Var- Class Ship and many Bird of Preys.

Your skills are LOW too. The best way is you took both Phaser- beams at the Front and let them fire in an distance of 1 Second. So you make Damage all the time.

If you want epic space fights, and I'm sure someone posted this before, try a sov-warfare fleet battle in EVE Online... 1500 players on one side, atleast 8 modules with different effects per player on average, taking transversal/radial/raw velocity into account for many of these modules. Computing and distributing to all 3000 player in real time. A TRUE single server, non-shard MMORPG. When you've had that, this looks like a small gang roam.

Tac officers and Escourts= DPS, Engineers and Cruisers= Tanks, and Science Officers and Science Vessels = Support. Those three are make up a wow styled game, the only differences is has with wow is that its start trek.

Did the Gorn Fleet Action the other day on my Vice Admiral Engineer flying a cruiser, with another engineer. Amusing to aggro lots of ships then just cycle between beam fire at will 1 & 2. Along with Emergency Power to Shields, Rotate Shield Polarity and Feedback Pulse. Plus all the Engineer powers made it a very fun run, all the way to the Dreadnaught. Would love to try with 20 player cruisers for the hell of it.

@EOCB Which, don't get me wrong, is nice, but I like the risk factor in Eve. It gives you a reason to fight and to win. In ST:O, you can wipe, and then you just respawn. I do think I will give the trial another shot though. I must say the graphics in ST:O are more to my liking than Eve, but thats just my preference.

if i was designeing a perfect shield array it would automattically asses weapon strengths and what incoming damage is arriving to your ship and allocate power to where its needed... also.....MUST have shield harmonics (borg technology).......makes laser/maser/and phaser damage mute anything that moves in a frequency.... that would force the enemy to use railguns or projectile ammo. ^.^
