@BonelessSausage Medication? It seems to be working. I tend to keep all my emotions in while at work, but when I get home and watch videos, it starts to all fall out. I think watching videos is a release, especially after losing my former wife to cancer last year. It has been a way of healing and discovery unable to express. But, you are right. @BonelessSausage This song is absolutely excellent. Macca was in his element those days. I think this songs is his composition. Macca was then the best pop song writer and he had time to compose some gems to other artists !

I think The Beatles never recorded this, it is not found even in the rarities, I think.

I wonder why the Beatles never recorded this song since Paul McCartney wrote this song during the White Album(1968)? Seems like it would have done well. Maybe they needed a song to give to Mary Hopkin since she signed to Apple records. Just a thought.

Yeah, I was 16 when I first heard it; there were some great female vocalists coming out in and around 69, Karen Carpenter, Carly Simon, and Mary Hopkins. They didn't dance, their voices were the show, unlike todays stars. Mary sort of fell off the radar, at least in Las Vegas, where I grew up, by 72, I couldn't even order her albums at the record store I frequanted; I'm thankful to youtube to see all her work over the years, finally.

"Goodbye" reminds me of red, licorice. There was a time when you could buy they, big, long, red whips. I remember my parents , showing up with these candies, (summer of 69), and my neighbors down the road would say: "Freddieboy, your folks bought red,whips. You're going to get a spanking." I was a little scared at first, seeing those things. Then I realized it was delicious candy. LOL.

Because of artists like Mary Hopkins, I have chreished memories. She is clean, unlike Madonna / Spears.
