The interview goes into detail and puts your statement into context. I don't see any admission of a lack of warming, just that in the period from 1995 to present (February 2010) the warming hasn't been "statistically significant". Which is due to the fact that it's such a short time span, and you need to look at longer period to determine a long term trends.

Sure AGW is possible. However when you have a theory the evidence must support said theory. To date that has not occured which made me very sceptical. Hansens 1988 submission to congress predicted a climate a full degree warmer than we see. Obviously the case for c02 driving climate has been overstated.

I googled a few (ball park) figures, the likely hood of your house burning down is around 0.8%. Many households pay around $700 in fire insurance premiums per year, out of an average household income of $60,000, that's around 1% of the income being spent on a 0.8% risk.

Even if your figures are true, which they probably aren't. (Outside of the field of cliamte science the debate rages on without consensus) Lets take your analogy. Sure I would buy fire insurance for $700 but would I pay $900,000 for that fire insurance, give up my entire way of life, stop driving, stop cooking food to prevent a very small occurance of my house catching on fire? No one would and that is the case with AGW, the costs far outweighs any benefits.

Good question. It's far too early to make such prognostications. We need some more study into the many unknowns of cliamte science. Specifically a better understanding of all the variable that affect climate and the relationship bewteen them that form negative or positive feedbacks. When we have that future predictions of climate relative to the inputs will be possible. Right now we are throwing darts and running computer models to guess at the science.

If you are absolutely convinced that it is not happening, that would be 0%, if you were absolutely certain that it is happening that would be 100%. You've basically said you don't have enough information either way. Which means you simply don't know, so it's a toss of the coin 50/50. I know it's crude to put a figure on it, but its just a way of quantifying how certain you are of your argument.

I am 100% certain of my arguement as global warming has not meth the targets predicted by Hansen, the IPCC or any other prediction related to temperature. This is not in dispute, the warming has just not occured. Numerous makeshift theories about aerosols or heat trapped in deep oceans have emerged to explain the lack of warming. What can be said 100% for sure is that the global warming theory that c02 is a strong driver of temperature is debunked!

Since we have seen record c02 emissions and no record temperatures, obviously the c02 factor has been lost in the myriad of other variables that affect climate. This is called real science, examining real world observational data to either confirm or deny a theory. Prior to computer models it is how the biological sciences worked.

What we do know is that the effect on climate is very small as we can see due the lack of warming under conditions of record c02. Actually, he didn't say this at all. You need to understand what "statistical significance" actually means. And once you do, go back to the sites you picked this information on and start critically analysing the other claims they make, like I did. I was a sceptic until I started to do this. Plimer, Monkton, Watts are actually making stuff up - misquoting scientists and misusing evidence. If the skeptical argument was so strong, they wouldn't need to do this.

I did not get the information from anyone, I watched the interview, Phil Jones was asked if there was any statistically signifigant warming since 1997 he said NO. You can also confirm this yourself by doing the math. Global warming just has not panned out, none of the predictions are coming true. Similar to you I used to beleive until all the predictions started to become debunked by natural evidence.

Antarctica first started accumulating ice ~35Ma ago, not because of the development of the ACC but because of the removal of CO2 from the atmosphere as a result of the orogenesis and erosion of the himalayan mountatin system as suggested by Zachos et al (1999).
