Love this track!! This and your other tracks helped push me over the edge and I picked up the Blofeld module the other day. Worth every penny!

Just using my Yamaha YPT-320 & MIDI cable for control for now since it does not show in the MIDI configuration of apps, even though WinXP sees it and lists it in Audio Devices when connected via USB. I'll have to try a PC at the office.

I certainly do not work for Waldorf. I'll even admit that this little synth has some faults, but if you like synthesis and producing your own electronic music, it's a great buy.

What do you mean? The faults of Walodrf Blofeld or of space traveling? Or my own ?? What faults are you referring to?

Please notice that my tracks are done on Blofeld but arranged, mixed and "mastered" on Cubase DAW. Cubase 3 SX at the time...

Hi,

Blofeld, like many other synths has a lot of issues and imperfectations. Finding the right one for you is an endless job...

Some of it's known issues and design problems:

* "Matrix" system for synthesis - meaning that you use a minimal amount of knobs to control many features, which is awkward for people who like to dig in deep into sound synthesis.

* Weak output - this can be compensated by a high quality audio interface or mixer.

* Bugs: Multi programs interfere with...

...One another, timing issues with arpeggiator & delay, many more...

Effects: on the weak side...

Still, it is a small and compact synth, highly flexible and versatile. Great sound for the buck. I love it and recommend.

Hey I read you own both Bloefld and Virus Ti --> I am stuck on which one to purchase as a beginner to synthesis, I own the Elektron Machinedrum and I am looking to get a new toy to go with it. Any help will be awesome!! Thanks

First, the Virus TI Snow is more expensive than the Blofeld is. Its is a question of personal taste the intended usage.

If you are into techno or house like styles, than the presets of the Virus will serve you. Whereas if you are more into electonica, wave or ambient, than the Blofeld might be your choice.

Conc. programming, I think the Blofeld is easier to handle. Being a beginner myself thats my view anyway.

Both synths sound great, the Virus maybe featuring the fatter sound. Greetings!

I ment "New Wave" . 80ies pop music, OMD, Ultravox, etc. They used the Yamaha DX 7 back than und the Blofeld "metallic" kind of sound reminds me on that.

I do not have both synths, but to my mind the Blofeld is a good choice for these reasons:

1. Cheaper

2. Excellent for teching you synthesis

3. Access TI sounds are great (I love techno, house and trance) but, a bit used by now.

That's my own opinion.
