  • beautiful

  • hi,

    good share

want to ask, do you have maybe plans for that electric embending tiool

my father started 4 years ago with beekeeping, now he see this vid and want to make that kind of tool

    thanx

  • @vare2008 Hi, yes, for sure. I use a 12v. battery charger.I have 4 bolts tapered on the ends to form little blunt chisels.I have one wire attached to one outside bolt & the other wire attached to the switch you push down to the other outside bolt.As long as the outside bolts are pressed into the wire, the current will flow through the wire when you push down the switch. The other 2 bolts stops the wire from distorting.Release the switch as soon as the wire is melted into the wax.cheers.

  • awsome thanks for the tips and videos ! just researching right now and looking to get into it next year.

  • @wrightmachineworks Thanks for that Ryan. Great to hear from you. Good luck with it next year. take care. cheers.

  • @TheYeahNikka Yes, for sure, no worries mate.

  • Found it! Great work. Here's to hoping the Aussies never get Varroa or Nosema and best wishes for an AFB free season for everyone. Cheers!

  • @chuckarama451 Thank you Chuck, yes, same here. i found that vid. on your favorites. i saw that on tv a while back, i picked up a few points i missed the first time. i'm like you, i read as much as i can about bees, especially when i first started. but i'm picking up new things all the time. i found the bees don't like freshly scorched boxes, must be the fire smell, so i'm scrubbing them first & even considering rubbing freshly picked lemongrass into the wood....................................

  • @chuckarama451 I found a couple of u-tube videos where they say lemongrass oil is a good attractant to collect swarms into a box. i don't collect swarms, only my own, but it's amazing what you can learn. anyway, good luck Chuck. i hope you have a great season. keep in touch. regards jeff. ps,i'm in an internet express at a shopping centre, i can't see the timer. bye

  • Большое спасибо

  • @ignas73 Thank you, but those 2 words came back in Russian.

  • Bravo! In Russia we just prepare the framework for the season! Nice to see that somewhere far away doing something similar. Health and good luck to you!

  • @ignas73 Thank you ignas, great to hear from you. I hope all is well up there. Same to you, good health & good luck with the bees . take care.

  • Very interesting. I thought Australia didn't have the disease problems of the rest of the world making organic honey easier to produce. Is that true Jeff? Also, what do you think of the top bar hive? One more Question if you don't mind. How far away from the neighbors should a hive be in order keep the peace? You can tell I have kicked around the idea of setting up a hive. Maybe placed on the side of the house next to some succulants where I have some rock and roof tile stored now. Thanks

  • @justkarmatoo Thanks for that Mr.K. We don't have veroa or nosema yet. I don't use any chemicals, so I guess my honey's organic, but I don't call it organic. I just googled top bar hives. I don't know how they separate the queen from the honey section. You could use a langstroth hive for top bar also, using half supers. Your neighbors look far enough away for you to keep bees. Two things to remember, 1.swarm control & 2. bees are attracted to lights at night, when positioning entrance. thks, bye

  • nice video .looking in to myself

  • @pinetar100 Thanks Joe, It's a great hobby. Keep in touch. cheers

  • Interesting vid!!

  • @TheVittleVlog Thanks Rick, You never know, you might decide to take it up some time in the future. Anyway, cheers for now.

  • very nice, most people around here use the plastic frames, but I would like to make some wooden ones. also have you ever made the frames to make rounds?

  • @outofworkbum Thanks CJ. Whenever the AFB rears it's ugly head, I'd have to burn the plastic frames or send them off to be irradiated. I just keep using these wooden ones over & over. I haven't bought any new frames for about 15 yrs. I haven't made any frames for rounds, I assume you mean for producing h'comb. I just let the bees make new comb for h'comb, then I cut it out of the frames. This has been a bad year for AFB, in my case, we had a long period of rain which, I believe didn't help. bye.
