  • At the end you said "Thanks to Joss Whedon for permission to do this project." How did you get permission?

  • How can I convince my directors to do this play?

  • Did Joss Whedon see your play? Or Neil Patrick Harris? Because they should, this is totally awesome, it was so much work I'm sure, they'd appreciate it!!

  • wow that was simply fantastic You guys did a wonderful job :D

  • This is awsome!!! I'm doing a drhsab play to!

  • Amazing job.

You definitely have a lot of talent.

You nailed the lines almost perfectly and you make a really good interpretation of the music.

Captain Hammer was hilarious and he has a great voice.

    Penny is a great actress...

Not as good as a singer as Dr Horrible or Captain Hammer, but she was really good at the beginning of "On the rise".

I wish I could make up a Dr. Horrible Play too!

Thanks for posting that on Youtube and definitely post up your next musical projects!

  • AMAZING JOB!

  • lame camera keep messing up is lame

  • SirBob? I have a question. I was planning on putting on Dr. Horrible this summer as a student directed project. I was wondering, how much did the rights to the play cost? Also, how did you contact Joss? Thanks.

  • @pogsklinc Free if you don't charge.

  • since you like Dr. Horrible have you ever seen the buffy the vampire slayer musical? episodes all the music and lyrics were written byJoss Whedon (plus the episode and he directed)

  • I must admit, the main difficulty with most stage productions is that Everything You Ever is hard to do right. I might have more insight if it wasn't partiallycut, but you at least had the decency to keep in the ELE.

  • Great job!

  • amazing job! That last song gave me chills. Graham did a stunning job!

  • Oh, the song was cut D:

But, but... What a nice "Slipping" *-* one of my favorite songs!

The adaptation was really good! But Bad Horse didn't appear! So sad DDD:

It would be so cool perform that... =/ But I would like to be Dr Horrible lol

    Well, amazing job! Congratulations!

  • Penny died :(

  • Graham!!!! Why did it skip ur favorite song?!

  • very nice stage adaption overall, good breaking of the 4th wall as well. Several questions though:

    1. How did you contact Joss?

and 2. Was Moist's song written for this show? (My guess is, it's on the DVD as an extra which I haven't seen yet)

    Once again congratulations

  • Moist's song is on the Musical Commentary part of the DVD and is stated as being a deleted song.

  • Wow, that was great! Well done, and thanks for putting it on YouTube! I've been playing with ideas for my own stage adaptation and this has given me inspiration to work out a few hitches I had. Thanks! =)

  • where can i contact joss to ask permission

  • how much did the rights cost for this?

  • They were free because we didn't charge.

  • and you couldn't charge, since this is a copyrighted piece.

  • Also not true. It is copyrighted, yes, but with the right status of permission, and possibly a royalty payment, we definitely could have charged.

  • Oh you actually got Joss' permission? I was wondering about that. Very awesome that you pulled it off, i wish i could perform in a Dr Horrible's sing along blog production one day. =)

The congratulations was so sweet, did you get a reply?

    Well done =)
