I could only find lyrics on internet, but I took a listening at Gainsbourg's song here at YouTube and this, I believe, is the intro and start to get you going with the chords.
But in order to do that I need to first get me a foot pedalboard for the Nord C1. Then I will play the bass line with the foot, the chords with the left hand at the greater and the melody at the swell. There is no point to upload a new take without the foot pedalboard, as the arrangement in that case would be the same as this.
I had to give this over three years old recording a close listening as you mentioned errors :-) Usually my takes comes warts & all, but I'd say this take is without errors :-) With that I mean that I play the song as I intended regarding chords and melody and didn't flub.
Strangely, though, the video and the sound has gone out of sync, at least at this moment. This going out of sync after some time has happened to other uploads as well...
The BEST instrumental version of this song I have heard. Your timing and touch are superlative. You made this song your own. A wonderful performance. Bravo !!
It's only major and minor chords all the time (with some inversions). I hope and believe it is not difficult to see what I'm playing. At least that was what I was aiming for when doing this song :-)
The intro is C/E (inversion), F, G, F, C/E (inversion), F, G.
After the intro it is C, Dm, Em, Dm, Em/B (inversion), Dm/A (inversion). Then C, Dm again, etc.

Sorry, but I have to pass up on 'Lemon Incest'. I'm concentrating my too few hours at the organ on jazz blues stuff for time being.
I did listen though to the Gainsbourg take (the original I assume) and I do understand that you like the melody line in 'Lemon Incest', as it is quite unique.
The lyrics was quite outspoken for being from the sixties, wasn't it? And the song caused quite a stir at that time. I think, today the lyrics wouldn't raise an eyebrow.
I can watch and listen to your rendition of this beautiful sensual melody forever...I have a new love whom I am mad for...and he, too, appreciates music such as yours.
I had two things in mind when recording this song.
First, trying to capture, to use your words, the spirit of the song.
Second, to record with a camera view so that is should be quite easy for other interested to see what I'm doing playing this song. That is, help spreading this lovely tune!
If I have managed to capture the spirit, I'm delighted!
Well, sorry, but I will not make a specific tutorial for this song. I used a camera view in this clip so that it should be possible to see what notes the right hand is playing.
If it's difficult to see/hear the left hand chords, just drop a line and I'll jot them down!
Yes, the piano is an Yamaha P-120 with the 'Jazz Organ' setting. To get a deep bass in the beginning I'm using the 'Split' function set to 'Wood Bass' up to the note G1.
Hi cardamom. You're absolutely right! My vibrato will not affect the organ. Probably it was the other way round :-) The sound of the organ Leslie simulation vibrato affected me!
Thanks Sinco! It was Serge Gainsbourg that came up with the melody and Arthur Greenslade that made the arrangement for the song, and, yes, they did a really great job!
Sounds really good Rounder! Getting closer and closer on playing "Green Onions." This is a beautiful song for the B3 also. Thanks for your inspiration!!!
Thanks 69B3! This song will sound very good with your Hammond B3. Je t'aime is not that difficult to play. Just think of the rhythm, steady cruise control all the way with no speeding or braking! And almost everyone that you play this song for will like it. It's a sweet organ song.

Thanks junjigains for your comment! I have always liked the organ in this song and if I manage to capture some of it in this little arrangement I'm happy :-) I must admit, I havn't heard the 3rd instrumental version from the soundtrack. Got to find it and listen to it :-)
This song has indeed something special! Even though it is a bit repetitive. I could unfortunately not get the original bass line also while playing the chords and melody - only got two hands :-)

Hi Alain
Those chords I wrote down beneath for 'recontrachismoso' is for the intro to the song 'Baudalaire' by Serge Gainsbourg.
For 'je t'aime...' it's only major and minor chords all the time (with some inversions).
The 'je t'aime...' intro is C/E (inversion), F, G, F, C/E (inversion), F, G.
After the intro it is C, Dm, Em, Dm, Em/B (inversion), Dm/A (inversion). Then C, Dm again, etc.

Tal vez no te gusta el efecto Hammond Percussion, que suena en todas las notas sobre el Yamaha P-120?
Si me da pedales, voy a grabar esta melodía otra vez, con mi Nord C1 órgano, probablemente sin el efecto de Percussion.
