  • I just moved to Wawa! To retire and learn the rivers and lakes, and of course, the Big Lake. But i`m a traditionalist and am in love with canoes, the 16 ` prospector is good enough for Bill Mason, it`s good enough for me. I LOVE WAWA. (and my wife does too, bonus!)

  • lived in wawa in the sixties, did a load of watercolours,some of which i sold. worked at hobon as a treeplanter for three years, did some guiding then hitched the highways of ontario then moved to england. i miss the landscape a lot . still in touch with some of friends like larry bond and bill sillanpaa. good guys.

  • Used to live in the Sault but worked in the logging business around Wawa, White River, Hawk Junction, Chapleau area. I miss it greatly and loved the video. Cheers from Calgary!

  • Camped with my kids at a KOA years ago. It was a neat town and very friendly. We enjoyed the goose and the water falls nearby.I would love to visit again soon.

  • Born in Wawa at Lady Dunn... lived on Government Rd and went to Carl M Beck Public school until we moved to Thessalon then down south...

    Thanks for the memories, although when I lived there, the Goose was surrounded by trees.

  • Hi Ya'll from Findlay,Ohio. I lived on Manitoulin for 10 yrs, mother&brother still do. Brother and Dad both worked in fly in camps out of Hornepayne for 2 seasons.Dad stayed in till moose hunt was over.Beautiful country!

  • hey don wawa is the best town i have ever visted in my life. it is awesome so down to earth. I would love to live there. it has the best fishing around. nice vid once again.

  • Love the video. Stayed in Wawa in Aug 2002. Woke up next day to thickest fog ive ever seen! Beautiful place.

  • We did a trip around Lake Superior and our first night was in Wawa :)and secnd in a b&b in Thunder Bay. We saw an amethyst mine and come to learn at bkft next morning that the couple digging in a hole were at the b&b. Great news, eh? I'm originally from the U.P. of Mich so I can speak with a good Canadian accent, eh!

  • Hi Joan, thanks for your comment - Wawa is a special place...to a lot of people. I remember coming here as a kid in the early 60's...some of the people I met back then are still good friends and a few have returned...also met a very nice girl here and got married!
