Do you know not that the old law (the one from the old testament) is not applicable anymore because Jesus fulfilled it. So those quotes from the old testament you're trying to show to us are also out of context. I could do the same with the Quran, like these: "Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216)

1) The Qu'ran says awful things that i cannot defend.

2) By selectively stating things in the Bible out of context i can make the Qu'ran seem better by comparison.

3) Come be a Muslim, we're better than Christians!

Bible = Stand Alone = God's Truth

Moses was 80 years old when he began receiving the Mosaic Law from Jehovah, so words like young girl would've been Jehovah's way of revealing Himself in a way Moses could understand and appreciate. A 20 year old woman would've been a young girl or damsel by comparison! Youth being relative after all.

The author of this video is exactly right. Both the Quran and the Bible are essentially immoral texts because their values belong in a less enlightened bygone age. Those who quote the bible as if it were a body of law are fools. Do they really think it is appropriate to seek moral guidance from a book that does not condemn slavery, supports the divine right of kings to rule and advocates the subjugation of women?

lifespan was much shorter back then... so yeah sex and/or matrimony were at much younger age... then again, the passage may also mean rape instead of marriege, that has always been a war tradition and sometimes age is not a factor
