  • Sweet bike, I have an '03 myself and really like the newer style swingarm and undertail exhaust, nice work *thumbsup*

  • @markhix97 Carb and efi are two different worlds. An efi bike will run like crap with mods unless you get some sort of engine management unit. Carbs are wonderful units. :)

  • I have a 06 and if you easie into the throttles it's fine but if you crack it open it starts to spit and spuder had to replace fuel line from secondary fuel rail to the main fuel rail helped a little and it puffs out black smoke like it's running rich all it has is exhaust and filter on it...

  • Just wonderin g if you had to change the rear sub frame at all or alter the rear end or does the exhaust fit OK. p.bartlett41@ntlworld.com

  • @HairyHog77 I decided to keep the rear subframe and alter the tail plastic. I thought it would be easier for a custom look. Everyone has tail swaps! Mid-pipe now has a bracket that now connects to the passenger peg mount to prevent twisting over time due to it's offset. I also had to wrap it in header wrap because it was starting to melt my battery tray.

  • Yo man that shit is sick!! I too am trying to make mine an undertail. Just wondering if the 05 swingarm will bolt on or do you need some extra parts?

  • @mendex187 See reply in comment above. If you want an undertail exhaust and don't necessarily want to swap swing arms, it can be done with the stock swing arm. Just make your mid-pipe go in between the swing arm with the mono-shock. It should fit and would be the easiest way.

  • Nice man I just picked up a 2000 zx6r. How hard was the front end conversion and swing arm? everything basically bolt in?

  • @john19812003 The swingarm is a bolt on if you use the 05-08 monoshock knuckle, rear caliper and wheel. To get the stock rear wheel to work with the new swing arm you would have to make custom spacers. To get the stock caliper to work with the new swing arm you would have to use the 05-08 caliper bracket. A custom rear brake line would have to be made regardless. Order Stock +1" in length.

  • @john19812003 Front end was not a bolt on, and is not for the novice. Stems have to be pressed out and swapped, a spacer must be made for the 636 top triple. The throttle works with the 636 bars, but is a bit sticky due to the bars being too low, so I have riser style bars now to bring them up a bit. A new custom brake line must be made if you rise them. Controls must have the bar alignment pin snapped off, or drill new holes in the bars. Ignitions must be drilled out and swapped....
