P.S. I do like Macs, and have enourmous respect for them, incase people wonder...I just prefer to stick to PC thats all, provided, like this guy says, its the right brand and power. So no Hewlett Packards, Compaqs or E Machines (or whatever they are called now). Also no Celeron processors. I like the fact Mac don't run with budget crappy processors like these.

Thing is, likewise, the Mac vs. PC adverts ASSUME that the PCs run XP or Vista. I get the feeling that the new MS adverts are just there as a direct attack back. If I was given £1000 (which is about $1500) I'd go for a top end Vaio...but I'd wait until Windows 7 comes out :-P

I think the point of the advert is that the guy was given his choice of pretty much any laptop he wanted, yet he still chose a windows based machine, meaning they are superior according to the advert, that dude obviously has never used a mac though when he thinks they are purely for looks, so bit a bit pointless

The point is, Microsoft don't manufacture laptops. I agree, its about the choice - however im arguing why are MS advertising for manufacturers? They are not in a position to advertise for hardware, they don't sell it. They sell the OS which is what their ad should have been about. I can install both OS's easily on my Mac.
microsoft like sponser hp as there the biggest pc company and windows monopolise the pc business i mean you rarely see a pc running linux in a shop if more linux pc were more common I agree It would be dumb. So basically its saying buy a pc as there cheap so if more people do, more people will have windows basically its a trick to make people get vista.

I've never said microsoft were a bad company, I just said they're marketing for this particular campaign was pretty pathetic to say the least. I said in this video that Vista for me was 'OK', didn't say anything bad about MS. My previous machine was a Dell and it was generally 'okay'ish'. The Mac however exceeds it. But that doesn't mean the Dell was bad either.
