Every time I hear powerful groove metal riffs like the ones on this album I can't help to think how much bands like Pantera changed the playing field for heavy metal. How many of the staple metal bands of the 80s like Anthrax, Priest, Maiden, and Slayer either changed or became irrelevant upon the dawning of Cowboys From Hell? Crazy shit!
