  • Would have been better without this faggot ass music.

  • long live the sociopath- nietzsches master!

  • nice rendition of his character good job guy !

  • anton would kill y0u for this music choice

  • played a cyborg in this one . . .

  • the gayass music ruined the video

  • did you just pick up the first CD off the floor of your mom's car and put it to this video? crap.

  • LOL

  • In the novel he never gets shot my Lewellen. Another truck of mexican gangsters drive up during the night and get into a mean gun fight and Chigurh takes a blast from a shotgun and still manages to kill them all.

  • @Zamudiokid i thought he did get hit. llewelyn says he shot him. i just read the book but maybe i got the scene wrong.

  • @slipcock21 Lewellen ran away. If he shot anyone it was prolly the mexican gangsters that came out of the truck right when he left Chigurh.

  • c'mon you can to better

  • horrible music. must be highschool kids .

  • Check out another murderous villain in our video The Murdering Monk.

  • That video is FUCKIN' AWESOME!!!! >:D I FUCKIN' LOVE CHIGURH!!! He's hot~

  • Yeah, this is Javier - the expressions alone speak volumes.

I recomend watching MARE DENTRO after or before this. Hard to believe but playing a elderly quadrophlegic, with such strength and expression. One of the best actors of our times ...

... yeah, I could see him as a potential Joker in the follow-ups to Dark Knight!

  • Yeah but it would be fuuny if Joker is latin ....

  • *LOL*

Tell that to Cesar Julio Romero ... :)

  • Chigurgh is an allegory on the senselessness of life and death, or atleast of that area and period where drug smuggling spawned so much senseless violence.

  • i love the part, which you can't see in this, where you don't see him kill the girl, but you see him coming out on the porch and he checks the bottom of his shoes for blood lol. badass. right following the part at 1:20

  • he is so badass i wish i could hug him ^___^

  • I have to differ from the previous posters and say that I think the mating of the video montage of the silent, icy cold psychopath with the beautiful, emotionally expressive singing of that siren (whomever she she may be) strikes me as pretty cool. What a contrast of sight and sound.

  • SHITTY MUSIC

  • no one wants to hear you lousy idea for a soundtrack. if they wanted it there they would've made it so.

  • Entire thing ruined by some stupid boy-music running throughout. Yet another failure of a generation-Y carbon-waste attempting to understand and/or interpret a work of art.

  • Dude, you NAILED it. The second this vid started playing I was thinking the same thing. What is up with this GARBAGE music? The two don't fit in the least.

  • such a great movie. i just dont get the end

  • Whats there to get? Anton got the money and Tommy Lee realized his futility in the whole thing hence the title.

  • Why did you have to ruin it? One of the best parts of NCFOM is the lack of music throughout the movie. It added a realistic element to it.

  • He always found his man.

  • what's this song?

    it's great

  • Ermagoneese how do you know he didn't kill that guy? That completely confuses me.

  • lol @2:22

  • lol javiers face its like well i can describe a crazy french face lol

  • music is terrible good god

  • the great thing about McCarthy is he never describes or writes about a characters inner thoughts or emotions just describes their actions so is left up to us to find their motives and reasons. that is why he is such a great writer. really enjoyed reading everyones input into Sugar's motives. check out the sock puppet version of the coin toss scene its hilarious.

  • Wrong, he left him to die further

  • So chigurh let the gas station man live

  • Yes.

  • Dude which music did you use to illustrate that wonderful movie?

  • It's ALAS "Absolute purity"

  • Bardem is awesome in this film, he deserved that oscar!!!!!

  • And can I say that the first movie I ever saw Javier Bardem in was The Sea Inside? Compare his character in that movie to this movie. I didn't believe they were played by the same man at first. Javier Bardem is goooood!

  • I really enjoyed this video. Yeah, people are saying that including music "ruins the point" of Chigurh, but I don't think so. Music inspires emotion without the need of dialogue. This is especially great for people who haven't seen the film yet. It says, "Be afraid," while not wearing the scenes out. Great job!

  • hes not gay, hes dating penelope cruz.

  • What's the name of the song used in this video? It's really good. :]

  • the music sucks.

  • Can someone tell me why anton missed the bird at 0:41? I know it has some importance in the film, and I dont think he did it for amusement. Is he selective of targets for death or what?

  • Well man it hasnt got rlly something important. Remember hes a killer. A hitman and he doesnt care who he has to kill to get to wat he needs done. He shot at the bird most likely he was bored and thought of shooting something. But its like saying why did he kill the man with bolt captive pistol. Because he needed a clean car. Hes a killer its what he does. Hope this helps =/

  • Besides being a hitman he's a psycho too. Most professional hitmen try to stick to killing their target not loads of innocent people along the way. Unessecary kills is not the way of a hitman unless they want to end up in prison on suspiecion of tons of other murders, and none carry some coin to ask people to make a call.

No, Chigurh killed a lot of people that had absolutely nothing to do with his mission and target. A psycho hitman, unlike Carson Wells which was the ordinary type.

  • good observation. But how can we really call him a psycho? Isn't he just a guy who does work for blood money? Though psychos do have codes lol

  • He wasn't the ordinary hitman type that kills for money.Leaving a trail of bodies behind oneself is asking to be caught by the police,in the real world.Who he kills along the way can also sometimes be decided be a coin flip.

No the real reason why he is psycho is because he killed Carla Jean. She never saw him,and posed no threat to him.She hadn't the money and had nothing to do with the whole thing. He killed her to keep a promise to Llewelyn, who was already dead and couldn't suffer from it.

  • There was absolutely no need for Chigurh to kill Carla Jean.He got to keep the money, had killed his employer and Carson Wells and his mission was a success.Since Llewelyn was dead anyway his threat to him regarding his wife was nullified and pointless.

Carson Wells was hired because the man who hired Chigurh realized he left too many bodies and wasn't the discreet type they needed. He realized he has hired a "loose gun" and therefore wants Carson to kill him and clean up the mess in his wake.

  • Another good observation, but i seriously thought he went after Carla Jean just to make sure all connections were gone(most likely he'd kill the sheriff if he had the chance and only had to). But i also don't believe he's psycho cause he left the man who saw him kill his employer alive though it's left ambiguous I believe he left him alive any how.

Chiggurh killed Carla Jean because(i think i missed it) of a conversation between Llewyllen and Anton or because of the coin. Maybe of a metaphor?

  • Carla Jean's knew of him.

That means Chigurh was vulnerable and that was something he could not allow.

This is also why he killed Carson.

Not only was Carson sent to eliminate him but Carson had the measure of who Chigurh really is.

    Chigurh cannot have any equals.

But neither can Death or Satan.

Chigurh realises his own frailty when he breaks his arm.

He is an instrument of evil.

    Not evil itself.

Evil can dispose him as easily as he disposed of his victims.

  • thanks i knew there was a reason why he killed her. Well this all comes to make sense, just like ethan cohen said. "The characters may be real but they are also symbolic"

  • ya that was sad. it bummed me out Luellen Moss died n i'm just assume his wife Carla-Jean died from Chigurh's hands cuz he said he was gonna do it. although it was kinda funny he wound up killing his employer (Stephen Root). there was a reason behind it n i think it was becuz he crossed Chigurh when i guess he hired the Mexican cartel 2 retrieve the money. i know he talks bout it right after he shoots Steven Root in the throat.

  • Terrible music, doesn't fit Bardem's character at all. Why do you think the film was that quiet? There is no need for any kind of pseudo-cool song. The mystique around Anton Chigurh is expressed by silence and his very calm behaviour (even while his killing somebody). Sorry, I think this video really misses the point.

  • i've read the novel and seen the movie, and thought quite a bit about what it/they represent... but i still can't put my finger on exactly what the scene with the crow means...

  • coool. the music is perfect.

  • why does every single no country for old men video have the clip of him killing that guy with the bolt pistol! jesus i am sick of seeing that!

  • i think i'm in love...

  • Fuck all these ppl, this was a great video, perfect for Anton, and no it isnt jus his voice and intellect, it was his look and waht he did - erie hair cut, lifeless facial expression, dark clothes, dark blue dungaree jacket(i think), you knew Anton Chigurh was a psycho the moment he strangled that cop and he didnt say a word, watch the movie douchbag!!!!!

  • That's the point! Thx man.

  • germanfilipino your retarded..everyone thinks its gonna be a good video and then it sucks cause of the shitty music..bardem won an oscar for his character and the dialogue is the reason it won best picture you moron it has nothin to do with his clothes..what are you, gay?

  • i dont care wat he won the oscar for - first of all Im not sayin it wasnt his voice and dialogue, im sayin that it was just that. I dont care what the hollywood ppl say, it was mostly his crazs-ass look. And the way he looks is apart of ''character'', so back off me - I still think this was a cool video. If u can do better than make a video or tell me about a better one.

  • what dose his being gay have to do with his opinion you braindead hick

  • i couldnt agree more...why the hell do people have to ruin the clip by dubbing freakin rock music over it??? so freakin annoying. i'm like, "oh cool, a good clip to watch!" then the freakin heavy metal kicks in. wow...that's just what this awesome movie really needed. even sports clips..this has gotta stop..

  • Who's this guy supposed to be the ultimate badass?

  • first time ever I got proud of my name, Anton

  • why the music.... I hate when people try to make a rock video out of good movies.

  • Actually saw the movie and thought would be cool if I mix couple of scene of him. I thought Alas's song was suitable. Didn't intend use the movie's visuals for making a music video.

  • alatrka this sucks..the best part of his character is his intellect and dialogue..i agree with droctagon your and idiot try again douchebag

  • Than it s ok. You can find easily what you want on youtube. That s my choice and I m sure lots of ppl like it.

  • God this is stupid. 99% of the impact of Chigurh is hearing him speak. This is juvenile.

  • Thank you very much ginamari ! :)

  • Can someone tell me whats the name of that song please ? :)

  • "Absolute Purity" by ALAS

  • the cop scuffed up the floor lmao

  • Read the book. It was fantastic!

  • he's a zombie- very good acting

  • its the haircut .. ;) love it

  • NEED to watch this movie and NEED to read the book ASAP !!!!! GREAT !!!

    WELL DONE ;)

  • Being killed by him would be a pleasure...

  • Sexy Anton? shit its the most terrorific killer I even seen, even more than Buffalo Bill

  • buffalo bill is a joke at his side

  • Damnit.... you took one of the best performances of the year and added some faggy emo song to him....

  • Using a homosexual dysphemism to denote negativity towards something = Fail

  • That was good. Can i quote you?

  • Song, please ?

  • Alas - Absolute Purity

  • I think he is really sexy. I love this video.

  • chigurh is kinda sexy. in a psychopathic way.

  • Yes, he certainly is.

  • Oh honey there are boards devoted to this on IMDB...you are not alone. It's phenomenon.

I think he's kinda sexy too :P. come join me in hell :)

  • yeah, sexy indeed !!.... oh my, i really hope that doesnt sound sick at all

  • It's hard not to be attracted to the bad boys, and they don't get much badder than this. I wouldn't know whether to run from this guy or beg him to take me...

  • ....I know this is bad but god I love this man and I don't know why.

  • I can tell you why...from a female perspective...it's the sheer 'he-mannishness' of the man. What I want to know is,what is Anton going to do with his time now that he has $2million dollars, (minus the $1K spent on the 2 shirts?

  • In the book, he gave the money back. We can only assume he does the same here. He is a man of principles first, after all.

  • I thought I was the only one who thought that.

  • Holy Shit

didn't know anyone listened to Alas!!

  • god i want that shotgun!

  • What is the name of the singer/band in the video?

  • Alas-Absolute Purity

  • eric rutan's awesome

  • amazing, thx for the upload!

  • The ultimate badass.
