You're missing the point; it's got more to do with Blue Peter, which this is the theme of.

(And Mike Oldfield didn't write it originally, BTW, although this mashup probably does work better with his version).

If you're not familiar with Blue Peter- particularly as it used to be 20+ years ago- then you probably won't "get" it.

sorry for not stating the IRONY in this production - which btw shows how exchangeable eminem is - his vocals fit over almost anything. hmmm....maybe thats why he's one of the most "mashed" artists.

Eminem is a brilliant musician in his own unique way, but for me this is crap. mike oldfield and eminem together? no way.

The sheer incongruousness of it and the associations of Blue Peter vs. Eminem's is why it's funny. If you aren't familiar with Blue Peter it won't mean as much.

The fact that they fit together musically so well is the clever part.

Anyway, this is Mike Oldfield's version that Blue Peter used during the 1980s, but it's not his song originally; the original version was done in that 1940s/1950s "light" orchestrated style, but this one isn't *that* different in terms of structure.
