By then I was out of boxing... but I did have my share of fights, and they all ended within seconds.. bench pressing 350, and at 170 lbs. I think that Pacquiao should do the same. Martinez is one of those fighters who people routinely avoid, like an early Margarito. Pavlik was trying to duck Williams a second time, and he may think he's got an easy night against Martinez, but he's wrong.

taylor was my fav when this fight happened. i was clapping when he knocked down pavlik. the thing that taylor did wrong was leaving his arms down look at how open he leaves himself. taylor's career is bad now, i heard he's got that meldrick tyaylor effect. he had too many blows to the head.
possibly..i think that, for some boxers, losing a fight by knockout leaves a mental scar. it could be a problem from taking too much damage, but i lean more towards a broken confidence. honestly though he never did well in a 12 round bout. but in an 8 round fight i think he'd never lose :-/

Paul Williams is way to active and will beat Pavlik in a tough fight. Pavlik is a one dimensional fighter that does not make any sigificant adjustments during a fight.

I never believed that Pavlik would KO Hopkins OR that De La Hoya would KO Pacman...trust me, I know PLENTY about boxing...its just what I believe judging from watching all of them fight....Froch is a bum...Kessler and Abraham are quality but I think Pavlik and Taylor would beat them both....thats what you do in predicting boxing dickhead...you make bold predictions.
Calzaghe was right, Pavlik is limited but lets not get carried away, he's a middle weight and he bloated up with 10lb worth of water and lard to make the weight where as BHop walks around at 190lb normally.
This was a much better fight as both fighters are natural middle weights.
Yeh I know Manny pulled it off against DLH but the Bhop fight had Pavlik tired by round 4 showing how little running he had done as he couldn't afford to lose the weight.
Bhop trains everyday and is never out of shape. He runs 5 miles a day and eats healthy n abstains from alcohol. I doubt he goes up to 190lb, Pavlik on the other hand kills himself to make 160 and really should be 168. go figure
Pavlik walks around acording to him at 176 max, he hit 169 at the weigh in for the Hopkins fight and looked like crap, didn't he?.
I think the commentator mentioned that Hopkins walks around the 190 mark at their fight, to be totally cut at 170 means he has to weigh a fair bit more.
I'm not making an excuse for Pavlik, he did nothing, but don't get carried away with the Hopkins win either, he's a LH and Kelly's a middle weight.
Well most of Bhops fights have been at 160 only in the last couple of years has he competed at LH because well he is 44 years old. Like I said Bhop is never out of shape and walks around at 180 and Pavlik 170/5.I think Pavlik lost because his style is simple, walks in straight lines etc perfect for a counter puncher like Bhop. I rate Pavlik the top at 160 but Abraham aside; hes the best out of an average bunch.
i'm a big fan of pavlik. This guys has heart, never give up. Great chin (looked how many power punches he took for tayler before went down) and very powerful punch/jab.
Andy Lee will never last in the ring with Pavlik, they are in entire different classes... Andy Lee didn't have enough power to knock out BRIAN VERA ! Another ref could've stopped it with 1:04 left in the second, after Pavlik went flying across the ring and was eating a lot of punches. It's a good thing he didn't.

Kelly Pavlik is one tough son of a bitch.
I really thought that Pavlik was no doubt the real deal after he beat Taylor a second time in a row but then Hopkins came down from Light Heavy and fucked him up.
I was very disappointed in the Pavlik-Hopkins fight.
I do hope Pavlik beats Williams in December man. I'm sick of people giving WIlliams props.

pavlik beat nobody's on friday night fights and then beat a bum in edison miranda. Paul williams beat people in 3 weight classes and avenged his only loss in brutal fashion. If williams doesn't win by unanimous decision, h'ell beat the robotic pavlik by late k.o. guaranteed!!!!

Paul Williams is way to active and will beat Pavlik in a tough fight. Pavlik is a one dimensional fighter that does not make any sigificant adjustments during a fight.

Ofcourse Im serious. The referee cud have a least given Taylor the same opportunity he gave Pavlik considering how much trouble Pavlik was in. NO WAY! He was more smothered by Pavlik than anything else Ive see far worse knockdowns and the fight has gone on i.e Gatti, Benn, Danny Williams I cud go on much more. Dis is the modern Gladiators sport son. He was in more trouble with Froch and wud have been counted out if not for the long count.

I don't know if you watched that fight or not but Taylor had no interest getting off the mat after the stoppage, he looked like he didn't know where he was. He had the same stupid glazed over look as he did when Froch knocked him on his ass with 15 seconds left.

I hear wat ur saying but I still think to the contrary. Taylor was ahead on all 3 judges scorecards. He bloodied Pavlik's nose & had him down in the 2nd rnd. He then had Pavlik v badly hurt & had him on drunk mans legs, battering him all around the ring & Steve Smoger gave him every opportunity possible to recover whereas alot o refferees wud have stopped it. Then Taylor ran outta gas and Pavlik got back in2 the fight and had him down(more smothered than anyting else I think) wiv 46 sec left....

Froch just KO'd him. Jermain did well-ish nice nice jabs well up on points, Froch was poor for him...but Froch is hardcore as fuck and Jermain ain't...hence Froch KO....poor showing technically from Froch but he is a banger you will see more drop

The only reason that Abraham isn't as popular is cuz he hasn't fought enough in the U.S. to get the proper exposure. Hopefully Pavlik and Abraham will fight soon, and it can be in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand...cuz that'd be awesome.

I never believed that Pavlik would KO Hopkins OR that De La Hoya would KO Pacman...trust me, I know PLENTY about boxing...its just what I believe judging from watching all of them fight....Froch is a bum...Kessler and Abraham are quality but I think Pavlik and Taylor would beat them both....thats what you do in predicting boxing dickhead...you make bold predictions.

Calzaghe was right, Pavlik is limited but lets not get carried away, he's a middle weight and he bloated up with 10lb worth of water and lard to make the weight where as BHop walks around at 190lb normally.
This was a much better fight as both fighters are natural middle weights.
Yeh I know Manny pulled it off against DLH but the Bhop fight had Pavlik tired by round 4 showing how little running he had done as he couldn't afford to lose the weight.

Bhop trains everyday and is never out of shape. He runs 5 miles a day and eats healthy n abstains from alcohol. I doubt he goes up to 190lb, Pavlik on the other hand kills himself to make 160 and really should be 168. go figure

Pavlik walks around acording to him at 176 max, he hit 169 at the weigh in for the Hopkins fight and looked like crap, didn't he?.
I think the commentator mentioned that Hopkins walks around the 190 mark at their fight, to be totally cut at 170 means he has to weigh a fair bit more.
I'm not making an excuse for Pavlik, he did nothing, but don't get carried away with the Hopkins win either, he's a LH and Kelly's a middle weight.

Well most of Bhops fights have been at 160 only in the last couple of years has he competed at LH because well he is 44 years old. Like I said Bhop is never out of shape and walks around at 180 and Pavlik 170/5.I think Pavlik lost because his style is simple, walks in straight lines etc perfect for a counter puncher like Bhop. I rate Pavlik the top at 160 but Abraham aside; hes the best out of an average bunch.

What calzaghe needs to do is fight someone thats at his prime NOW. Yes! hopkins was a good fighter but a 41 yr old.
Jones is coming to the end of his career also, but keep in mind, i do still think jones will beat calzaghe.
Calzaghe considers himself at his peak now so he should fight another fighter at his peak.. Kelly Pavlik!.
