  • pretty sure you needed a Bravo clearance, but a slot time not required for VFR. How was that landing fee by the way?

  • way to stay on centerline lol.

  • Why not six guys? Someone had to fly lonely :(?

  • THATS AMAZING! I would love to fly into JFK with my flight instructor sometime, looks like an awesome trip

  • That's just epic!

  • Thanks, I am trying to write a novel that has a girl from Alabama who has never seen a large city before, and who just got engaged to a man from Manhattan fly into JFK. This is perfect for helping to relate the experience.

  • i would be intimidated to be in a cessna at one of teh buissiest airports

  • i know friend who also land there, but the complexity of the airspace and the furios comm gives me alot doubt until today im feel so chicken to try

  • Thats an awesome vid! That sounds like an incredible trip, too.

  • We needed no clearance at all.... As we were heading south down the Hudson we called JFK up and said we were a flight of three 172's and inbound to JFK to which the controller cheerfully said "OK, we'll see what we can do... call us back once you have finished orbiting the statue of liberty"

Once we had finished over the Statue we called him back and he then gave us radar vectors onto short finals behind a Emirates 777...... Happy Days!!

  • @russellwhitbread

just can"t belive you guys did it with out fly plan, i know there is an 12 hrs request to land before arrived (standar proccedure)

  • That is hilarious, what kind of pre clearance for KJFK did you need to land there? I cant imagine they allow any 172 that wants to land there can.
