  • This is so lame. Coal is harmless. If you think people are getting sick because of coal, then donate money to research for cures to those diseases than protest in front of power plant powering one of the major cities in america.

  • Baloney !!!

  • A goods strong video. Burning Coal is criminal now we know the damage its doing to humanity and the earths ecosystems. Facebook uses too much coal.

We all have a choice were we buy our electricity from. Clean renewable sources or dirty fossil fuel sources.

  • so all others would know.

  • I like the reference to "Mountain Bombing." Nothing could be more true.

  • People need cheap electricity?

  • @pgm98387 Fossil fuels are actually the most expensive form of electricity. You just don't see it in your electric bill because the industry is so highly subsidized by the government. Add to that the tax payer dollars that get dumped into health care and cleaning up 'accidents' from coal companies, you're paying for your electricity at least 3 times. Coal is to electricity as corn is to agriculture.

  • here's an idea. move out!

  • @StopmeatGoveg To where?

  • @neccowaif9 well it's the u.s. so theyre free to move anywhere really. i sure as hell wouldnt stay there.

  • @StopmeatGoveg They can't move. Their property values are worth practically nothing. They can't afford to move. But why do they even have to? I thought this was the land of "We the people" not "We the corporations". Condoning mountaintop removal, or being complacent in its acts, is criminal, if not legally, morally.

  • @DRW141719 totally agree. i've read lost mountain, so i realize the severity of the situation so believe me i'm not defending this. what i'm saying tho, is if i was in their shoes, i'd relocate by any means necessary. i think part of the reason they stay is dictated by tradition, but is that really worth their health/their lives?

  • @StopmeatGoveg Lost Mountain really walked you through the realities of mountain removal and the impacts that it has on the immediate community and the region. Not seeing the ongoing destruction happening daily allows me the comfort of using electricity in Virginia. 1lb of coal will charge a laptop for an hour.

  • you go guys!!!
